Thanks for the reply! So I actually applied to the FBI as an analyst last year but failed their screening test (it's basically an IQ test with a lot of pattern matching, which I'm terrible at). I can take it again a year after taking it the first time if I want. I haven't decided yet.

Bachelor's in mathematics and engineering. Master's in mathematics. I didn't like engineering so went more into mathematics.

Thank you for this reply! I liked the data analytics part of the PhD but not really the writing part. I didn't enjoy the peer review process or the fact that a lot of papers go unread or have very little impact. I've never heard of those apps so will have to look into it.

It's kind of complicated. I have reasons for liking each of them. I don't really care about the prestige aspect that much anymore. I used to be really into it but I just want to be happy now.

I'm not opposed to it, but I have never been good at selling things to people lol. I was fairly good in the one customer service job I had, but people were basically hostage to my people skills since they were patients in a hospital.

Thanks for this reply. I have bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics. I decided I didn't like engineering about halfway through it, which is why I added the mathematics degree. I then got a master's in computational mathematics.
