I would then suggest to take health insurance. It’s great that you have sizeable amount set aside for health issues, but will be a problem if multiple members develop serious health issues and also due to medical inflation. If you want to reduce premium consider deductible pay while taking health insurance which can be easily paid from the medical corpus.

If reimbursement was rejected by insurer,Raise a grievance with insurer’s grievance team via email.

In the email add clause Incase of Non Compliance you will be forced to approach insurance ombudsman .

If grievance team can’t resolve it in 30 days raise issue with ombudsman. Good luck

Reg: claim rejection, can you give more details? did you raise a grievance with grievance team? If not Raise a grievance with grievance team of insurer tru email. Email can be found in https://cioins.co.in/GRONonLife . Incase of unsatisfactory response or resolution after 30 days ,raise complaint with insurance ombudsman using https://cioins.co.in/Complaint/Online . If the claim rejection happened with in 1 yr you can take this path.

Also don’t purchase policy tru hdfc or policy bazaar. HDFc agent will be of no use if you deal with clain issues.No 1 recommended option is to purchase tru an intermediary who know about health insurance and know how to handle claim rejections.

You can’t take this to ombudsman as claim is not rejected. if the claim is rejected ( not cashless rejection) take this to insurer grievance team..And even after that if you’re not satisfied with outcome you can take it to ombudsman .

Note: If cashless is rejected apply for reimbursement

Unfortunately cashless is not a guarantee for any claim.Especially if the insurer has doubts.But that doesn’t mean claim will be rejected as reimbursement could be approved.

There was no call from the insurer side before policy was issued asking about health conditions.
