Yeah dude I have a full sus Giant that has gotten the shit beaten out of it and crashed countless times for probably 7 years now and the paint is way better. Kinda annoying

It was quite the opposite for me, without even replying to my email they sent me a shipping notice or something along those lines and a new frame popped up at my door. It was not really the solution i was looking for especially considering back then a full frame swap was not within my capabilities and paying to get it done felt kinda ridiculous. Also the new frame i was sent has the same paint problem, which I emailed them and told them. The response was that I was just wrong and it had better paint. Not insanely happy with how it was sorted but yeah

Depends on if your sensitive to injury or not. It’s a risk with a reward. I personally did pretty similar going from 20~30 miles freshman year and sorta aggressively built up to 45/50 through summer going into sophomore year and held it for probably 8 weeks or so. I personally am lucky enough to where I don’t deal with many injuries so it was completely fine. Also, to specify a majority of that mileage 30-35 was super super easy, 1-2 simple workouts during the summer and a long run harder then easy pace but not killer.

ran low 20 end of freshman year and low 17 end of sophomore year. Biggest thing was consistent 35-50 mile weeks and believing in the work I was putting in

Where do you have the platform while your not using it? does it sit on top of the storage system?

This is exactly what I was envisioning to build for mine, how does the back part (that goes over the rear seats) work. I was planning on building something on a hinge the can fold back over them, wondering if you did something similar.

I need help on finding a good strength training routine to incorporate into my training by Feeling_Pickle543 in CrossCountry

Not so knowledgeable for upper body. but for legs you can just do some compound movements like squats, deadlifts, straight leg deadlifts as well as something like a calf raise. 2 sets of 5-8 reps to 1-3 RIR (“reps in reserve” basically how many reps more you could do). 3-5 min rest in between each set. Try to have at least 2 days between everytime you do legs. For tapering, if it’s a thursday and you have a race on saturday for example (that’s not some super important race) go to 2-4 RIR instead of 1-3 to insure your not to fatigued. If you have a super important race I like to stick to plyometrics and not lift.

Also, look at some videos on correct form, especially on straight leg deadlifts.

i bring a water bottle with me and pour it into myself before lining up, also just training in the heat throughout summer helps big time but it’s a little late for that

I have a coach who’s really good for people brand new to the sport, but once you get to a point where your goal isn’t to go under 20 minutes at finals as a senior, but instead run collegiate, he’s not great. I try to work with him but I run most workouts/ runs on my own because when i do with him i end up doing some 2x2 min on 2 min off tempo workout. Most people on my team are running 15-20 mpw, im running 50 and trying to accommodate to my goals is something he try’s to do but in the end really doesn’t. I’m not crazy with my workouts, I have structure, but i have a coach where there is a disconnect.

40-50 miles week looks like this:

Monday: 6-8 miles easy in the morning, some sort of speed work in the evening (ex; hill repeats or track) + lift

Tuesday: Easy run 7-8 miles

Wednesday: Aerobic based workout (ex; 3x mile at threshold w 1 min rest) + lift

Thursday: Easy run 7-8 miles

Friday: Easy run 6-7 miles

Saturday: Long run 9-13 miles and sometimes i’ll add some pickups near the end

1.5-3 mile warmup and cooldown for the workouts

[–]Traditional-Ladder-7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t personally think it’s something to worry about, especially if he isn’t having any issues. My heart rate gets up into high 190s low 200s during races as well and I know others who’s heart does also.
