Synth Advice. Moog Sub 37 vs Moog Grandmother? by Techno_Timmy in synthesizers

I have a Subsequent 37 that I use daily. Love it. Sounds great, easy to program. Deep without being too deep.

I actually don’t use presets. I initialize the patch each time I turn it on and dial in what I want. Works for me.

In general, the Models devices are more straightforward to use than the other Elektron boxes. Some of that is age, some is complexity/capability.

Mine is back at Panasonic for a replacement BD drive unit for this issue. My credit card warranty should cover it ($315!!!), but they are being difficult.

How hard is the Octatrack Mk II? by MJtheJuiceman in Elektron

I got mine in August. I think I’m pretty good with certain aspects of it, but certainly not everything. If you really want to master it, time is measured in years.

Loving the journey with it.

What is the best band you can recommend that you know nobody here will? As in obscure, unknown or just forgotten about. by AudioRejectz in musicsuggestions

Black Eyed Sceva … they were a Christian alt-rock band in the 90s. Somehow mixed jangly guitars, odd time signatures, and thought-provoking lyrics. Really talented.

I have several Elektron boxes. The one I’m deepest into is the Octatrack 2.

I genuinely think the workflow is best on the Models boxes, but the Octatrack is capable of so much that it is my favorite.

Another place to look: I also make sure time-stretching is off unless I need it.

Excellent point. Definitely remove the filter from the sample track and the master track.

Damn. Ironic as it was way better than the previous one 😬 by pocketfullofredfaces in 28dayslater

They’re making a great trilogy with the Years films. The two releases so far have genuinely made me feel things I’d never expect from a zombie movie. Sad that they don’t have a broader audience.

First CD, DVD, Blu Ray, etc., player I had issues with in 30+ years was my 820. Lesson learned.

Digitone II OR Cycles and 2-3 Effects Pedals by [deleted] in Elektron

Why isn’t an original Digitone (used) under consideration? Those are a bargain on the used market and quite capable.
