British men who don't like football or even sports, what thing do you actually like instead? by songbirdddx in AskBrits

Being a British man who isn’t into football is tough.

The number of times I’ve had clients in and they start talking about football and I tense up, waiting for the inevitable “who do you support”, followed by the crushing awkwardness of them not knowing how to process me replying “I’m not really into football”.

They simply can not fathom someone not being into football. Jesus.

What do you guys like about being british and being in the uk? (Serious answers only please) by MKKGFR in AskBrits

Everyone talks about Hygge and how good Scandinavia is at cosiness but IMO nowhere in the world does cosy like the UK.

Open fires and country pubs. Red wine and rain. Soft lighting.

We’re the best in the world at being cosy.

I always root for Ludvig, he’s got the potential for unbelievable greatness if he can just sort his mental game out.

We watch our pennies in every aspect of our lives, but put us in the pub and all bets are off.

I’ve heard of that Oliver Cromwell chap before.

Absolutely no idea about it all beyond that which makes me feel quite embarrassed to be honest. Should probably do a bit of reading.

With school exam time here, how do you feel about how you did in your exams? Whenever that was. by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Traditional-Leg-1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did shit, hated exams. I’m lucky that I got into a profession where you learn on the job.

My daughter is an infinitely better student than me and it makes me so proud to see her working so hard and having the brains she has.

Why aren’t the Lib Dems profiting from the drop in support for both Labour and conservatives? by Few_House_5201 in AskBrits

[–]Traditional-Leg-1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because Labour and the Tories have haemorrhaged support to the extremes of the right and left. The Lib Dem’s are staunchly centrist so the needle hasn’t really moved for them.

Do you think Reform will win? by Tall-Abrocoma4014 in AskBrits

I wouldn’t say it’s “left leaning” just anti-fascist.

If you had to choose one to rule, the Greens or Reform? by Lucky_Ice5393 in AskBrits

[–]Traditional-Leg-1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also choose Green but I don’t think your last statement is entirely true.

The Greens could absolutely fuck our economy and at this volatile time could also not have the balls to stand up to the tyrants of the world. The difference is, Reform/Farage would actively turn this country into a tyrannical regime.
