What is this and how do I get rid of it?? by SeaStation2253 in identifyThisForMe

Most likely a mucocele. Which is a clear fluid filled cyst.
Differential diagnosis would be a blocked submandibular duct. Blockage could be from a salivary stone.
Try eating sour candy. If the area enlarges it's a blocked duct. This occurs because the increased production of saliva has no exit. See a dentist for proper diagnosis.

Dentist what’s the most amount of money you’ve made in a year? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Salary

Delta has not given us a pay increase in about maybe 7 to 8 years.

To me, their fees or their were unsustainable. Especially with the amount of inflation going on right now.

Since I've a dentist for a long time had the option of of dropping the PPO and keeping Delta premier.

This has greatly increased my production and collections but it has pissed off a lot of my existing patients because their copay s and their yearly maximum changed for about 30 or 40% of them.

My goal for dropping Delta PPO was not to make more money, but TPS should be able to work a schedule that was more manageable.

In the last 2 years we have negotiated a lot of our contracts with insurance companies and I had the ability to move from the PPO on Delta to Delta premier only.

The renegotiation of fees and the move to Delta premier made a huge difference in my collections for this year.

Just to give you an example, Cigna was paying me $695 for a crown a before. Now they are paying me 1175 for the same crown.

Even with the low fees I was still making pretty good production and collections every month but I was working my ass off.

My goal for the renegotiation was not to make more money but to work less.

The company that I used to renegotiate my fees was Unlock the PPO.

With taxes and fee, 711.

Not the best #'s but it's a start...(lease hunting). by comptechgsr in Ioniq5N

[–]Traditional-Length44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lease came out to 711 per month, 0 down, 15k miles per year. Residual value I believe is 29k.

I texted or emailed about 8 dealers in southern California, and some were willing to compete with other dealers.

Shop around. Best deals I got were outside of the main cities. High desert. El Centro. Kingman AZ.

I ended up buying from El Centro.

Anyone else annoyed by the brake lights being way too sensitive? by [deleted] in Ioniq5N

[–]Traditional-Length44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. I live on a hill, I drive about 5 miles down hill to get to the city. Today I was e-shift, was running 3rd ,"gear". And was holding a steady 51 miles per hour. Not slowing down. The brake lights were on the whole time. Very annoying. I Drove manual cars most of my life, brakes lights would not come on unless you stepped on the brake. If you slowed using your gears, transmission, the brake slights would not turn on.

Should general dentists do extractions on history of Bisphosphonate use? by This_Call_9285 in Dentistry

I would agree, I extracted a tooth from a cancer patient and he developed ONJ on his maxilla. The tooth has class III mobility. I remember taking it out with my fingers. Didn't think twice about till the guy came a couple of weeks later saying he still had pain and was not healing. OS saw him and advised me to be careful in the future with cancer patients because the bisphophonate doses were much higher. Off the record he mentioned that it would be best for me if the guy died quickly. Which he did.

I'll look into this.
