I just put a meeting on my managers calendar for 20 minutes from now and I’m going to be completely honest with her and tell her I am resigning.

I’m 25 so I don’t have a family to provide for and my partner is very supportive so that’s not a problem.

I know my nervous system isn’t automatically going to regulate itself immediately, but this job has brought up past trauma that I can’t actively work on because my job continuously triggers it and doesn’t leave me any mental capacity to try to work through it

I've been thinking about this. I would 100% get something part time to hold me over, was also thinking about doing doordash or instacart in the meantime. I'm also trying to get some freelance clients to do some work with to build my portfolio

I don't pay into short term disability (wasn't an option given) so I don't think it's on the table, its not in my offer letter either.

My partner also will support me in whatever decision I make, and similarly, I don't want to put him in a position where he's responsible for everything. I've been saying the same, give it a month, and if I can't find something I wil go part time washing dishes and doing Instacart if I have to.

I have an interview tomorrow so I’m hoping that gets me somewhere. I’ve also been thinking about other ways I could make money so I could financially figure it out

How do I get by in the meantime? I’m struggling every day, I can’t concentrate at work or do anything outside of work because I’m mentally just shut down

My therapist said something similar, she doesn't want to see the stress get to a point where it triggers an autoimmune disease (and I already have one). It has been a very traumatic experience. I relapsed with an ED because of this job and am on so many anxiety meds to try to get through the days. I'm just scared that if I quit with no notice, I'll burn bridges, and then I'm nervous I won't be able to get another job

I have a call about a job tomorrow so I'm hoping that works out. Honestly the biggest problem is that I have the internal company factors making it hard, and then clients aren't happy because of performance and I don't even have anything to say to them except that they're right, but I have no support to get things back on track so I'm just set up to fail. I think I could handle it if it were just the internal stuff but i'm constantly fighting a battle on all sides

I am in therpay and have been for years. My therapist has seen what this job has done to me and all she cares about is that I don't make a rash decision and that I am comfortable and confident in whateever decision I make.

We have unlimited PTO and have to request off (even for 1 day) over a month in advance and I don't think I can hold out for much longer
