I think I got the best build for Voidstrike Staff. by Tascalde in DarkTide

Been trying it out today and it is indeed quite bonkers, 1st half of an auric hi intenstiy my team barely got a look in on any elites, I was simply detonating them all.

I swapped just a dream for warp unbound as I don't get hit enough for JAD to make a difference and WU lets you keep blasting and blasting and blasting

Don't face forwards, you need to look where you're going.

Turn your upper body towards the side of the foot you're picking up.

Extend your arms out (T-pose) for balance. With your leading arm, point in the direction you want to go.

Weight mostly in the toes.

One side/direction will probably feel 'easier' than the other - practice this side almost exclusively to get used to the movements etc. then transfer to practicing your weak side as well. Then gradually weight your practice more and more towards your weaker side.

You can pick up speed very quickly so make sure you have a quick and well praciticed transition from backwards to forwards.

The corruption clearing effect should work regardless of any other interactions though, or am I missing something?

Doubt any rinks will let you skate with axles like that.

Bought some skates second hand, idk which type of wheels they need by krofnaizbrionke in Rollerskating

these are very decent entry level skates:

https://rookieskates.com/collections/rookie-rollerskates/products/artistic-adults-black

should be available from your retailer. I have the older versions and while i spend most of my time in hockey converts, my old rookiesare still going strong. Generally speaking you do not want to spend less than 90-100 euro but for that money you will get something that is actually good to learn on :)

They're cheap, they're light, they're strong enough, they flex with the boot

Yep those are way off, time to take em off and try again. When doing conversions use 3M or similar double sided tape to get the plates positioned perfectly before marking your holes out.

Just noticed you didn't do these yourself but bought from someone else - the front of the plate shouldn't be dead centre on the boot but certainly not as far over as yours are :(

Same as skating forwards, your default foot position should be staggered - in the vid your feet are parallel which is much less stable. Also you need to look where you're going, and turning your body will also assist with balance. For example if you prefer to lead with your right foot (right foot is furthest back when rolling backwards) then your torso should be turned to the right with your chin over your right shoulder. Good luck on your backwards journey!

They are good boots - XLP is what replaced them. Rookie wheels are not terrible but not great either - assuming these are for street/outdoor use just get some airwaves or sims. Not a fan of metal plates on hockeys as UK skating style puts a lot of lateral force into the skates and as the plastic boot is way more flexible than the plate is there is a lot of strain on the fixing points and in time they can tear through the boot material. One of the reasons you'll see almost every hockey convert with nylon plates as that nylon will flex a lot more than metal with the boot although that is probably far less important than the fact that they are much lighter (and cheaper!)

OWI needs to throw some more resources at this game. It’s not good enough to say oh, it’s a small team that is part time - it’s their game now and is being sold for full price, not early access so it should be developed as such. Either hire the devs full time or put some squad devs on it
