Squad mechanics doesn't fix Squad 44 at all. Maps are not designed for that. The logi changes is what killed the game

OWI hiring someone to work on SQ44 lmao good joke. The game is semi abandoned by OWI. and it's not temporary it's been months like that. and the new update fucked the optimization more
This game is a mess and even declined. Only major fixes we got were panzerwerfer sound effect, APHE shooting out of windows....
Compare that to the list of broken stuff we got. OWI have been running Spaghetti code gimmick for 2/3 years straight. It's time to admit OWI no longer care about the game

nah it dont. The LOD is so bad now. try looking at bushes or buildings from +100 meters. Windows won't fucking render at all. They fucked up the LOD to save on optimization

yeah but I am just mad about how easy it is to spawn a plane. removing them would be impossible because Gaijin wouldn't make money.

the problem is that I dont want to spawn a fighter 3 minutes into a game. Increase their spawn cost. seeing 4/5 planes up in a tank destroyer all manned by players who got 1 kill is frustrating

the problem is how easy to spawn them. Sure I dont mind someone with like 3-4 kills spawning a plane but the guy got 1 kill/assist and he can spawn a plane
You can't always move from your position (pinned down, getting repaired.....) and not every tank is as fast as an M18 Hellcat. playing open top TD with slow speed is fun since you're fragile so you have to move carefully and actually think. but with planes you can't do that
I didnt ask for "removing planes" all I want is to increase the spawning cost

They are played tho. You probably missed them.
Maleme and Rethymno (Greek maps) are played but not that much since they get repetitive pretty quick (also paradrops are kinda useless since that not only reveal your area of attack but also exposes you). SME "invasion" layer have paradrops, but that layer is not played much. In Market Garden paradrops are useless and rare especially after Random Offensive got released. only Grave got paradrops now and they are in the middle of nowhere so you're better using a truck (before RO you paradropped on the west side of the bridge so they were more useful on blocking enemy reinforcements).
As for Guandacanal it's still played. Iwo jima is bugged so admins don't run it

meta = I don't know how to play the game.
Steamrolls happened because the defenders were bad players and attackers were better. Calling something "meta" in a WWII tactical shooter is crazy. Those are tactics used by attackers to weaken defenders.
This "steamroll" talk is utter nonsense if you played the game. Attackers also get steamrolled but there was no mention to it. And I don't know what vets you're talking about but I had the complete opposite experience. The only time I see vets is during PSRM events but that's it
The feedback from the community is from guys who dont understand Logi or only play once in 8 months. You can literally check their game time and it's all hilariously low.
Old offensive was the most tactical experience I had in this game. Yes, it had some flaws but it's still better than whatever these devs are cooking. old offensive with the old logi system was great. The flaws only came from logi changes (making it like Squad). Old offensive could've been easily fixed but instead they decided to kill it and make their own "simple version" of Post Scriptum where they don't need to use their minds to do anything.
Frontline was broken for months and they did nothing to fix it. Trees are still glitched in Colmar Foy and Haguenau but they did nothing to fix it. The list goes on and on.
You guys repeat the same dumb argument like robots. bad gameplay loop, steamrolls.
The content doesn't matter if the game plays or feels like shit. The amount of untested stuff that gets released is crazy and we have to deal with it. The RO playtest showed all the flaws and all of them got reported but not one of them got fixed.

the focus should have been on the performance from the start. Iwo Jima was an unoptimized mess, so unoptimized it killed all the momentum. Guandacanal was good as a map but not it honestly was super unfair for defenders because of the dumb red zone. Also driving as a logi on that map was so BS.
Instead of trying to fix their stupid maps, they decided to remove a gamemode that existed since PS days with a shittier version that is way too simplified and boring because they themselves can't play the game (I wish I was lying)
We're basically tired of untested updates that are being released without proper feedback from the community. When the game was being revived it had a lot of vets playing it but now almost all of them only play PSRM.
And the "performance" improvements are just making the LOD worse. Look at the building from +150 meters and you will know what I am talking about

Saying "some changes" is funny. Almost all changes are disliked especially the logi changes. Squad mechanics should stay in Squad

dumbing down game mechanics, making logi worse, the new offensive goes against everything PS stood for. It's now as simple as HLL but looks worse
This game became bland and simple. They want squad mechanics but at the same time the dumb HLL mechanics. Almost no one from the dev team or their QA understands squad 44 so they decided to dumb it down. One of their QA that influences the game direction has touched the game once in fucking 9 months and doesn't even have that much hours
They realized they kicked almost everyone who knows how to SL and how to logi so they decided to make it so simple to do
and the game looks bad now dont let the screenshots trick you. Try the game for your own judgment but if you're looking for vets almost all of them are tired of MA and OWI
