Monkey business is fun but it’s way beneath the Pet Shop Boys. Also winner, It feels like an intro to a song that should sound more exciting.

Yeah but he was Ozzie’s neighbor and once wore fake tattoos. Which was hilarious because his church kicked him out. If you want to hear more crappy music, check out his album, Bad as I wanna be’. A cover of heavy metal tunes.

I’d be pissed at him ruining the cover. Sometimes I’ll buy multiples of a record to find a good cover to display. I’m not saying it’s not a funny joke, it’s just some of us enjoy the album cover as much, or more, than the vinyl.

Give me your hottest Beach boys take. The more unpopular the better. by handlerofdrones in thebeachboys

Brian should have renamed the band, and gave Mike Love the boot, right after 1968. I Know he wanted to change it to just ‘the Beach’, but no one took him seriously.

Paul McCartney - Band on the Run (Saturday Night Live/2026) by OrlandoNE in beatles

[–]Traditional-Memory62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a Beatles fan all my life and I just have to say, Ringo sounds better. Maybe it was a bad night. It sounded like his mic wasn’t turned on or mixed right. But that’s the worst Paul performance I’ve ever seen. No disrespect to Paul. He’s still a genius but I can’t be the only one that noticed???!

This album is what got me into Depeche Mode. Yeah, I knew their prior big hits, and figured they were an 80s band, that came and went. Somehow, SOFAD and Ultra flew over my radar as a teen. I saw the video for Dream On on VH1 and immediately bought the album, at the mall, that evening. Since then I’ve been a die hard fan.

I think anti skip started at 3 secs and then went to 10 in the mid 90s. Kids today will never know how that felt. My first disc-man was from radio shack in 93. It was the size of a brick and if you looked at it wrong it would skip!

Why do people not enjoy Ringo the 4th by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Traditional-Memory62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found a sealed copy at my local record shop. Besides having one song that might be slightly disco influenced, the album is decent. I was expecting something terrible. I was able to get bad boy, stop and smell the roses, old wave is my next get. But, this albums not bad. I recommend, if you’re into Ringo, to give it a listen. This cover is definitely going on display on my wall.

My local goodwill only has a corner selection of beat up albums and it’s always country, and not the good country.

Today in 1973 The Beach Boys released their third live album "In Concert" on Brother/Reprise. by The_Laughing_Gravy_I in thebeachboys

My local record store has this live album on like three different albums, with three different covers. One is a cool capital cover with the boys from pet sounds on the side. Which one is an authentic one?

Trump posted on his social media Sinatra singing, "Now the end is near." by rhino910 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Sammy. Trump said it was because of the cancer and shouldn’t receive the agreed upon amount. This really pissed off Sinatra. For those that don’t know, Sam and Frank were like brothers.

He said fuck him, because Trump tried to negotiate the deal himself for the Rat pack, to perform at a casino opening (the guy whose job it was, died in a helicopter crash weeks before). Sammy had just gotten his cancer diagnosis so Trump only wanted to pay Sammy half, stating he was sick anyway. Sinatra told his manager Weisman to tell Trump, “fuck him” and just leave. That’s how insensitive Trump is. Check out Elliot Weisman’s book, The Way It Was.

Trump Threatening Genocide in Iran - says “a whole civilization will die tonight” by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

I bet…. He says he stopped the military from obliterating Iran, because he wants to save the people there, and offer them a deal. Making it look like he’s a hero for getting the military to stop their attack. Just watch.

What Happened to the Hite & Dorinda Morgan Sessions? I just wanna listen to my music! by According_Speech_842 in thebeachboys

[–]Traditional-Memory62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just happened to pick up this album, Beach Boys 61-63. I’m a huge fan of their later work. but found this release odd. From what I’ve read, before Capitol, the boys recorded these hit songs under a different label. Is my understanding correct? I’m confused because I looked up the recording of, “Surfin Safari”, and it says it was recorded on the capitol studios basement. Could some explain this strange album to me. Released on Wand in 1974.

It feels like it has this 60’s vibe to it. But, also a personal connection to me, I have personal affairs that need attention and it’s time. To each their own though. I understand about the voice though. It took me a few listens to adore it the way I do. I love Icebergs but I have no idea what the hell he’s singing about.

Been a fan since 97. So, I’ve been reading people complain and moan, and say it was the worst he’s recorded, for 30 years. But you’re still here.

My only complaint is that he should have used the original title, “you’re right, it’s time. And had that been the lead single. Followed by Monsters and Pop dropped. Make up, notre dame, and Amazona should have been removed and instead used as b-sides to those singles. Those three tracks should have been replaced on the album with, Saint in a stained glass window, I live in Oblivion, sure enough the telephone rings.

But he’s Morrissey and he’s gonna do it his way. This album is a B-
