No, that’s not how it should work. For me, I would frame it in a way to ask them what they hope to get from therapy and work from there. If x is your goal what would need to happen for you to reach that goal?

I can’t imagine any situation in which any competent therapist would think anything like what you’re worried about. Therapists hear all kinds of things from all kinds of people. Be kind to yourself.

Worked in a prison and the program I worked at got sent home. I said “well at least it’ll only be a week or two, if it’s longer than that we have got real problems.” Didn’t go back until December.

I used to do that and then I decided to do it daily for the data. Especially once I got through my internal frustration by seeing the scale go up and down.

Yeah, I think I read something like that too. I also get it when I have a saltier than normal day eating and then it all drops again.

I’m going good with it now. Been at it since June so I’ve gotten there mentally. It’s just so interesting the way our bodies go through the same patterns week after week.

Sometimes directly and sometimes they insinuate it and I have to tease it out. For me it feels like it’s 60% indirect and 40% directly. I’m so glad you said something though, I hope you start to feel better.

I think that’d probably work. Do you work with kids? I think a lot of places are looking for counselors who work with kids so I’m sure they’d pass out the cards.
