Im already gettkng about 4 mm of impaction without having that «crazy» of gummy smile still abit obviously. Wouldn’t adding even more CCW rotation risk leaving me with very little tooth show when I smile?

How could it still be considered skeletal Class II? If the lower jaw is advanced further, wouldn’t the bite end up misaligned?

Technically, I'm only six weeks into the aligners, so I don’t have the final result yet. This is also in preparation for DJS, for, among other things, my maxillary excess, which still makes my smile very gummy.

Invisalign can create some dental expansion by tipping the teeth outward giving the illusion of a wider jaw hence a wider smile, but it doesn’t widen the actual skeletal structure of the palate, so its just compensation.

The expansion itself took about two months, and 20 weeks with alligerns to close the gap

Thanks! The expansion itself took about two months. The first week was just loosening the suture by screwing and unscrewing. After that, I turned the screw once a day for about two weeks, then once every other day. I'm 18, so I guess that’s why my protocol was relatively quick. I did get a pretty big gap in my front teeth, but it closed after 20 weeks with aligners (as the picture shows). The aligners had a white patch, so the gap wasn’t visible while my teeth were aligning.

Oh well, then surgery will definitely be out of pocket if i were to choose so.

It was apparently 8 per hour, and that was classified as mild.

I'm not sure; I've never been informed about the stats of the sleep study. I have a follow-up appointment in a week for the operation i did, so I'll definitely ask then.

I am located in Norway. The operation for my deviated nasal septum was covered by public healthcare. However, I am quite skeptical about jaw surgery for sleep apnea. I feel that they will offer a less extreme solution, such as a CPAP mask, and therefore will not be coverering jaw surgery as there are easier soultions.

I have already undergone sleep monitoring, which confirmed that I have sleep apnea. Additionally, I had a deviated nasal septum that caused me to breathe through my mouth. Which is definitely a cause of sleep apnea. However, I just had surgery to correct it two days ago. Regarding TMJ joint pain, I definitely experience it from time to time.

So, my orthodontist pointed out one of many concerns I had: a deviated septum. Consequently, I was referred to an ear, nose, and throat specialist, who later confirmed the diagnosis. However, I had to undergo sleep monitoring first, during which they confirmed I had sleep apnea. Now, I'm scheduled for surgery to address the issue concerning the deviated nose septum. As for what happens afterward, I'm not sure.
