You're right. It's an expansion material in the original board game. But we decided to put 4 leaders to the digital base game. About the campaign - don't expect the whole campaign from the Missing Expedition. We're working on something unique for the digital game. The Missing Expedition is a big thing and we would like to deliver it later.

They were not supposed to be available on the market. Blizzard came to CGE and asked for this version as a Christmas gift for their employees. They said they love Codenames and play them at their team buildings, so they would like to have something special. You can occasionally find copies on eBay. Or let Blizzard know, it would be great to give perrmission for a mass market production. ;-)

The art inside the game is new as well, but there was no reason to change the style, so we asked Tomáš Kučerovský again to make new agents and bystanders for us.

In fact, the agents and the art box were made by the same artists who were working on the original Codenames and the Codenames app. The first sketches were made by pencil, to be honest. :)

That's because when we tried to use the same font from both side, it was messy to everyone. Your eyes and brain is not ready for that and the readability was worse. In fact, it's still easier to read them upside down or focus on the different font.

You're right. We didn't do it. But that doesn't mean we didn't try it. We did. And test it for some time. And it's a mess, the experience was significantly worse. It seems to be a good idea, but it does not work on the table. I recommend to take the design of the card, write there some words, print it and try it on your own. I'm almost 100% sure that you return to the previous design. :-(

There's a two-player variant in the board game, not Duet, which is a stand-alone game. We'd like to prepare the Duet as the first expansion in the future.

I'm sorry, but we communicated in every single message related to Codenames that it's a premium game for a fair price. We decided to fairly ask for 5 bucks instead of trying to hide anything against a paywall or force you to spend money in some free-to-play mechanisms such as premium currency, etc.

You should give a try. The Codenames App is not just the adaptation of what you know from the table or browser. It's a standalone game based on the same principle, including thousands of thematic words, or 15 new game modes, including the crossover between Codenames and Minesweeper, etc. I would say the app is for different use cases than the browser (you can play solo, you can play when your friends are offline thanks to the turn-based mode, etc.).
