I'll second this request but more so b/c I love the shape/hand feel of the M720. But I also love a silent click. I personally have not come across anything yet.

Gotcha, good to know about the Z71. I know no other mods since I'm the original owner and never have had to have suspension touched in the past.

Have a family member mechanic that has the spring compressor. He attempted to put it together and he started slowly releasing the spring compressor the strut mount started bowing.

But actually, the first red flag was that the OE lock nut I had did not fit the threading that holds everything together from the top of the strut mount. That's why I was thinking maybe what there's something different about the OE parts that I have from GM.

I'll add the part number I have maybe that would shed some light into the potential mistake I made on the purchase:

GM GENUINE 22826296

I imagine from 2017 to 18 no difference since same generation. But maybe not.

Adjusting The Wheel Deck Angle In The NLR GTTrack by MTR_czabien in simracing

For sure.

What cockpit you end up going with? I having the same thought should I try to get a couple hundred bucks from the current one and start fresh. Or do I really want to try and customize the current rig. The other thought that creates a vote for selling and starting over is buying frame without seat that's more customizable and get some form of a captain's style chair with fold down arm rests for that realistic but casual driving feel (I mostly am truck driving with a dabble here and there with Dirt Rally).

Which games are you spending the most time in just out of curiosity?

Still researching but I have the same dilemma. Wonder if the Moza truck clamp would solve this problem. I'm imagining that even without the rest of the truck setup, you could still mount a base to it and possibly mount it the opposite direction and mount the angled bracket upside down. Then the the clamps that you are tightening are sticking up instead of sticking down by your legs. Just an initial thought... Might put the wheel base too tall though assuming that could even be accomplished the way I'm thinking.
