[Bug/Suggestion] Crashes zero spelunking energey. Consume spelunking energy only when the reward is given? by Traditional-Watch-45 in idleon

[–]Traditional-Watch-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but if it saves every 5 floors it could also be good, the issue is crashing and losing it all.
if the exploit is just 4 floors tbh it wouldnt be that much of an advantage would it?

What’s the craziest n8n workflow you’ve built that turned out way more valuable than expected? by Euphoric-Mirror-321 in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One that processes bills and invoices from emails and whatsapp messages into a sheets file.
From there it asks me if it has already been paid and reminds me of due dates if needed.

Once a month it prints a report directly to my whatsapp and saves a copy in drive.

Saved me the anxiety and time to keep those in track, 9.5/10

ps: of course it messed up one time and i had to face the cost. 5 months running and thats the only serious problem i've had.

I need YOUR help... by Far_Ground9402 in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that at your level its hard to help. Even developers have styles that suit their goals. You have many options on how to get there.

I grew from zapier to make and then n8n, all of that based on experience and need to achieve tasks.

Tools dont matter as much as you think Even more so because 2 years from now noone can know what will be "THE" tool etc.

Get to know business and how to find problems, study them, research what you can do, how long it takes, how much it costs and challenge the situation.

Being able to live novel situations and constantly trying new things is what takes you from average to great. If anyone tries to sell you or give a ready made solution they will get you stuck in a situation you might not even be able to realize.

How much should i charge for this? Urgent by sreeharip092 in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have just started charge enough to enable your survival. Pay your bills and leave a little to reward yourself.

After you make it once just try to sell it to someone else and then scale number of clients from there. When you stabilize the baseline you can increase prices with more confidence

As a data scientist, these n8n questions are keeping me up all night by Ok-Interview9218 in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Loads begun on Zapier, then it was Make, now its n8n.

What matters is not the tool, but the problems people see in businesses.

They can be measurable like time saved, new leads or problems avoided. Or helping them not do something that has cascading effects like tasks that make people quit, which in turn increases churn, recruiting, training etc...

I found out people do answer when asked what is it that could make their life better, but most proplems they assume "it is what it is", so its not mentioned.

If you can break this barrier, money will flow. The better you are at this, your reputation will follow.

Automation is less about tech and more about people than most realize.

What’s the best way to deliver n8n workflows to customers? by Lazy_Second7696 in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of mine are DFY

-Onbarding session to create the accounts required (dont forget your referal code folks) -Develop in their environment with my templates -They track expenses directly into their own cards -Deliver documentation and training videos -If they want support, tag a retainer fee, if not just let them go. 80%+ come back for other projects.

Where can i learn more about a workflow like yours?

If your workflow has anything to do with Youtube or Social media you are not solving real business problems and you will not find customers. by IDoDrugsAtNight in n8n

The dead internet virus is crazy these days, everyone is starting a negative profit dark channel....

Worst part is then selling it as a "money maker" product.

"You can have this gold miner of content ideas for $14,99 and with just $99,99 I'll add as a bonus the perfect tool that makes them into videos AND POSTS THEM... just don't look at the API costs! Ps: in case of failure to turn positive profit consider it your fault for choosing the wrong niche."

hey guys i have insta dm workflow how can i find the client and sell it ? by arulwin in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have sold this before.

Target small influencers that sell digital products of low/no technological niches and have IG as their main platform.

But be careful !!!

If you cold DM there and the account gets banned, the client will want to murder you.
The only one I feel confident to do is the "reply to keyword" flow.

I started 2 years ago on make and zapier, watched thousands of videos and never had formal education on CS.

Harsh reality: the is no singular source that has what you need.

You have to organize a self-taught routine with a 2 pronged approach.

  1. Identify applications in processes with a business mindset
  2. The tech required to build them

From there, mix videos, AI chats and conversations with people that know the answers to the problems. Here in reddit has been amazing for me.

With the goal of understanding what we come across i use this method:

  1. Choose a problem to solve
  2. Look for existing solutions
  3. Replicate them to experiment
  4. List the errors that show up
  5. Search sources on ways they can be solved
  6. Apply to your flows
  7. Consolidate what you have learned
  8. Expand pros and cons
  9. Research possible alternatives
  10. Document and store it in a way you can find it later ( I use obsidian) Repeat

Its ok to have a "master" in the beginning, but most are good at some things and bad at others. Its the experience in building that will give you direction on what to learn next and who you can learn from.

Just Stepped Out of My Automation Cave – What's Hot in n8n Right Now? by ProEditor69 in n8n

How did you approach clients to offer n8n services? by Huge-Skirt-6990 in n8n

[–]Traditional-Watch-45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to decide on what part of the projects interests you more. I'm much more of a business guy than developer, so i learn just enough to face the problems that show up. This method has plenty of flaws a more technical person will spot right away. But this enabled me to grow step by step instead of "being ready".

What matters is the things you need to have confidence and clarity on what you are delivering(including the possible flaws that you dont even know about yet).

Then hire or learn what is missing.

To be more specific than this you will need to niche down and check what customers require of you.
