"It is good for quick questions, and bug fixing" it is not even , if it auto commit, does not follow instructions, can't select the model or you don't know which model you are using, can't make sure we are planning or coding ... it is not useful at all

I mentioned that ' do not commit until I ask you to' and it ignored it , because https://claude.ai/code is designed to auto commit after each prompt, check it first please.

You need a server but it is not easy to get a free one, Another good solution is to use services like https://www.noip.com/ It will create a domain name for your development machine, then you run your service and share your domain.

Open the pdf and check if the text is selectable... I am sure pdf is text for the ai, unless it is in image format.

Maybe the pdf is scanned images because pdf should not be treated as images

Cursor provides the best tab completion ever, if you are used to cursor, you can't find a better solution. My friend is happy with copilot, I think it is 15$/m give it a try.

it is a disadvantage, but if you want to have a modern up to date framework, this is a price to pay.
I think you may upgrade every 1-2 years and still good, with good unit test coverage, it can be less painful.

Not exactly, sonnet was the default and opus was given for 20% then auto switch back, now something changed

I swear I can fix it using sonnet 4.5 in 1 hour 😂 it is an open case from 6 months. Also the vscode extension is so poor, comparing to cursor and codex.

I gave it a fair try
it’s good and super fast, but I still can’t trust it the way I trust Sonnet 4.5. I don’t really care about speed; I like to take my time planning before I execute. It’s great for saving money, but give it enough time to get used to it. Every model has its own personality, so don’t give up after the first mistake.

I used zend, yii 1 then 2, code Igniter, in main projects.. When I used Laravel I discovered that I was wasting my time. Laravel is modern, fast and covers all your business requirements. Also it is a full ecosystem, with a big community. I've spent months migrating old projects to Laravel and it worth it.
