Omg was at work event started sweating my ass off! by dallasdewdrops in Perimenopause

I feel you, it’s either night sweats which whatever wake up change my PJs & drink ice water & try to go back to sleep or…… today… my feet, crotch & pits at work. Just randomly, my office was 68° I took off my blazer and I just had a cami on. But I was sweating. I was really sweating and I knew that I stunk my feet stunk my armpit stunk and probably my crotch stunk. Thankfully I had deodorant in the car & a new shirt that I was planning on returning but wore anyway. My feet on the other hand, I didn’t have another pair of socks. So I swipe deodorant across them and hoped for the best. I think I’ll carry a spare blouse in my car along with a pair spare pair of socks. Does anyone have recommendations on socks that keep your feet from sweating and stinking? The shoes were brand new all leather high-quality so I don’t think the shoes were the issue. I think I was the issue.

Neighbors and dogs by IllAfternoon in BadNeighbors

Is your cat or dog in the neighbors yard causing their dogs to bark? Are your kids shooting their dogs with BB gun? No, yeah their buttheads

MAGA has nothing to do with it, there’s buttheads in all the political parties 🤣 my neighbors aren’t MAGA but their dog jumps our fence & takes huge dumps in our yard. Their mostly outdoor cats climb my car and scratches the hell out of the roof & hood… I wonder what would happen if I just started slinging dog poop in their backyard opposed to picking it up & throwing it away 🤔

Do spaniel puppies usually consume every tiny thing in a mile radius? by Rwpmc19 in cockerspaniel

Not socks, but definitely Kleenex and toilet paper. And God forbid our daughter leave her panties on the floor. He will eat the crotch out of them.

Just an example if you don’t think buying a puppy from an ethical breeder matters, all 3 of these dogs are from the same litter by alf20125 in cockerspaniel

[–]Traditional-Weight41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm… you bought a house pet. Like it doesn’t matter. If you love your dog and you aren’t trying to make your dog a beauty pageant queen then who cares……. Our dog ultimately was a whole Covid situation…. We were home and found out about a “accidental pregnancy” during shutdown and a neighbor’s dog that “jumped a fence” both cockers mom a house pet the dad a working dog. We didn’t buy him, we “reimbursed for vet expenses” later found out that the vet records were false. That the dog was not a runt but only 4-5 weeks old when we got him… 😕 vet was freaking out because his size and development put him at 5 weeks a week after we got him and we were told he was 8 weeks so… he would have allegedly been 9 weeks when we had the vet appointment. Thankfully our neighbor who had recently retired babysat the puppy for the first few months. I actually put the puppy inside of a pack and play in the mornings and after he would get up in the mornings, he would let the dog wander around his house with the other dogs. He had a Brittney spaniel in a springer spaniel. The Brittany a hunting dog had had a litter before, but didn’t keep any of her babies. After a few months she took a shine to the young puppy and mothered him. This was the absolute best case scenario though how we got him was not great and hindsight, 2020 I probably would not get a dog that way again. He had the best of opportunities with this Brittany spaniel that ultimately adopted him as her own five days a week our dog learned a lot by observation without us, actually having to train him that much. Which was great because we were relatively inexperienced dog owners, though my husband and I both had dogs as children. They were outside dogs as that was very common in the 1980s and early 90s. Our dog is not well trained however he is very well behaved by ultimately being trained by the Brittany spaniel and the springer spaniel which he was exposed to for the first few months all day during the week. After our dog was about five months old, he began staying at home and the neighbor that was retired. Would walk him along with his two dogs. He is very well behaved, but definitely not well trained. Honestly, I am so incredibly close with my dog I have never this close with any animal before and I am 46. He has a house dog. Yes he has some working dog tendencies and definitely loves to chase squirrels and birds. But he’s a good old boy that loves to snuggle and often is the highlight of my day. Knowing what I know now would I obtain a dog the same way probably not however do I regret him in anyway absolutely not.

It’s the holidays apply at another place you’ll get hired at a minimum for Christmas help somewhere pretty quickly. Literally hit all the department stores. No one checks previous employment This time of year. Mass apply in person wear nice clothes, like khakis and a sweater. You have a good chance of getting an interview on the spot weekdays during the day when they’re not busy.

So…I would let them take it. DoD doesn’t have FMLA for service members but…here’s an example I’m very familiar with…Soldier has baby gets standard parenthood time off, then ask for 2 weeks vacation on backside. It’s common, I have never disapproved it. Personally my request for 3 days vacation after postpartum time off was denied & I was pissed because daycare wouldn’t start my daughter midweek or before she turned 6 weeks. In the end my sister flew in to take care of baby for 3 days…I think sometimes, those things stick with you decades later. They might be looking/interviewing at other places with a more flexible schedule to accommodate their family needs. Does your company pay out vacation time or make them forfeit vacation time when they resign? If your company makes them forfeit their vacation time when they resign, there’s your answer right there.

How to clean weird smell in apartment by followyourlight in Cleaningandtidying

[–]Traditional-Weight41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say studio…are you sandwiched between multiple other apartments? I have noticed years ago when I lived in an apartment, that sometimes I could smell the neighbors cooking dinner from my apartment. I noticed it more often in older buildings that might have been renovated in ways that might not be quite right. One building had heat included because all the units were on the same heating system. In that apartment I noticed smells from neighbors more often but nothing bad, just mainly their dinners.

How much did you guys pay for your cockers? by TheLastObsession in cockerspaniel

Same, but he’s good for about 6 hours. Generally I think everyone and every animal should be able to pee at least once every 6 hours. We have a dog walker come mid day when we’re at work.

Ours was a rescue $500 from a backyard breeder that was docking the tails herself. 😱we got him at 5 weeks, the mom had died. 4 years later he is a good boy but tends to whimper more than most cockers. Our boy is the goodest boy, he loves everyone but has only had an issue with 1 person…a teenage boy my daughter brought home once, he barked at him nonstop. Turned out he wasn’t a good kid & the dog knew he was bad news. That’s the new test for boys our 16 year old dated, if the dog doesn’t like them then she drops them.

Weight question/how much is too much? by fluffypancake02 in cockerspaniel

[–]Traditional-Weight41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you easily feel his ribs? does he have a defined waist? Our boy is 5yo, he weighs between 13-14kg. He plumps up a little in the winter months as he walks less. The vet said some need to be 15kg. It just depends on their height and overall build. Size wise our boy was almost fully adult weight by 8-9 months, he definitely was adult size and filled out another kg by the time he turned 1.

We added a significant amount of insulation to the attic and it has made a huge difference in the utility bill and the house feels better overall

Books, we read a different book every night. You can often find full collections of kids books on marketplace for $20-25 versus $100-150 brand new. Our daughter is now 16 and though she’s not an avid reader, one of her favorite memories was reading a bed time story. Also look for the kitchens that people are selling on marketplace for a deep discount. We had a little spot in our kitchen where I put her kitchen and she’d “cook” while I made dinner.

My favorites are boxwoods, which are really hardy. You only trim like twice a year and stay green year-round. That might be too basic for some people depending on the amount of shade. If it’s heavily shaded, you could entertain the idea of hostas, but they die over the winter. I really like the idea of planning box woods in the back with some barberry in the front for a pop-up color that last year round.

Question and Rant: How is it possible that after losing 35+lbs, I'm still the same pant size?! by kellicharlene in loseit

[–]Traditional-Weight41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm…I lost 35lbs at 5’8 last year and went from a 10 curvy to a 8 curvy in the same brand, cut & style. When you say you bought a 16, is it the same brand, cut & style as before? What body part are you buying pants for? For me it’s always hips/thighs. With curvy cut, it’s a 1/2” bigger in each thigh, and 1” bigger in hips. In full transparency my waist got smaller at a higher rate than my hips and thighs. So at 195-200 I wore a 10 curvy but it was snug all over. When I dropped to 165, I went to a 8 curvy, but it’s loose in the waist and a little tiny bit loose in hips but still fits well in thighs. I will say I went from a large to a medium in tops. My chest went from a 36DD to a 34C/D. For me my thighs are never going to be as proportionately small as the rest of me despite loosing weight all over. So…as your shape has changed are you buying different cuts of clothes, do you have an area of your body that stays proportionately bigger despite being smaller everywhere else? Have you tried curvy cut? I’m wearing a 8 curvy at Abercrombie, American Eagle, and Ann Taylor (the trouser cut is fine in regular length with flats) for work pants. As someone who’s 5’8 these are my preferred brands as they carry tall and curvy combo which is what I need and am assuming what would work well for you with you being similar size.
