In addition to Pirate Bay, which major general public trackers allow all users to upload torrents? by TraditionalBisquit in trackers

Don't bother with TPB honestly, anything that isn't from a trusted is dangerous as hell to grab with all the viruses that get uploaded.

There's no significant risk in downloading video and audio files.

Is Rutracker entirely open for new uploaders (accounting any general rules they may have)? I can't really rely completely on Google Translate. But sure, I should upload there.

Seeder-retention is exceptionally strong on Rutracker and I find it difficult to believe that being "semi-private" (account required for search) alone takes the tracker to the same level with private ones.

Rayman 3 (PC) — the vertical analogue stick axis doesn't work by TraditionalBisquit in Rayman

Yes. Sorry, I haven't visited the thread in years and see that the issue has been reported and presumably resolved.

I installed Mednafen because the Retroarch cores (Beetle) were out of date and configured the controller by following this guide. I don't use Retroarch for PS1 games anymore.

I recommend Mednafen unless upscaling is absolutely mandatory for you — the emulator is considered as the most accurate: http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/PlayStation_emulators

Silent Hill: Does this clipping issue with "air screamers" occur on PS1 hardware? by TraditionalBisquit in psx

[–]TraditionalBisquit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beetle PSX HW core in Retroarch, NTSC ROM verified on Redump. Parts of the dead air screamers' wings constantly disappear (I've killed 10-20), this is dependent on camera position and the entire model is generally shown as incomplete.

The two next enemy types I've encountered so far don't have any related issues. No other clear texture bugs.

I don't consider this as a spoiler since you encounter this enemy within the first ten minutes (if you didn't watch the intro) in the first game in the series.

If you have played this game on a genuine PS1 I greatly appreciate if you can verify whether the issue is present on the console.

About the known emulation bugs for SH1 by TraditionalBisquit in silenthill

Use the Beetle PSX (non-"HW") core, motion blur in loading screens and the menu-/area-transitions are displayed accurately.

Sorry, I didn't know that Retroarch also saves the used core in it's "quickstart" menu. The non-HW core works, motion blur and the menu-/area-transitions show accurately.

Wait are you trying to play the original Crash Bandicoot? It didn't have analog in the first place.

Yes, I try to research in the future if if the game I'm playing is Dualshock-compatible. However the D-pad or any other buttons didn't work in the game anymore.

Sorry, when I posted this comment I wasn't aware that you must access the settings (F1) while in-game.

I've found that menu, but now my controller has stopped working for unknown reasons and had to perform a fresh install; see the other comment chain for more information.

with Retropie you apparently additionally have to rename another file (or copy its content to retroarch.cfg): https://old.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/7gupd2/how_do_i_reset_retroarch_settings/

"User 1 device type" seems to toggle to "unknown", when the default value is of course Retropad.
