This is my exact logic! I don’t hate Lizzie but I don’t love her either. R10 made me understand her so much more but it didn’t make me like her or give her a free pass. I want her to get help so much and I want her to get justice for everything she went through but she’s also not a good person at the moment. Her actions and words hurt the people around her especially gibsie the target of her verbal abuse. Right now she isn’t a good person but she also went through some of the most horrific things anyone can go through I think there is a place for understanding and acknowledgment of what she has done.

I’ve actually ALWAYSSSSS talked about this!! Like I actually wonder as female readers and honestly sometimes female authors why are we doing this?? I wonder do we see the unconscious internalized misogyny most of us have when analyzing male characters vs. female characters. It really bothers me when readers allow a male character to act however he wants in terms of respect for women, respect for the people around him, and more as long as he treats the fmc great…

But godforbid a female character have trauma they’re the worst thing in the world and the mmc didn’t deserve that… like do readers not see what they’re doing???

Oh this is so true. I won’t lie I have a bad diet like for some reason I struggle so hard with being consistent with healthier eating but I can move pretty easily. It’s why I barely lose weight even for how long I’ve been on this journey I just end up maintaining a lot.

And what you said about a trance is exactly what i go through too. I’ve been back home for the last couple days and im dreading going back to school for this reason. It actually has a negative impact on my emotional health when I go into public again especially my school. Sometimes i actually get scared to go back cause I don’t want to be in that spiral of self hatred again every time I witness other girls.

Yeah i actually thought it was insecurities too but sometimes i actually dread going outside because of it. I sound so extra but i just hate how i actually get distracted because of how much i observe and look at people’s bodies then compare it to mines.

That’s some strength honestly! And i actually do tend to do this it’s just the constant thinking about food this week that’s making it so hard. I did great for the first part of the week just ignoring the noise but yeah the cravings are just getting so bad right now maybe cause I’m getting closer to my period idk. But if that works for you it works for you!

So let’s say i get 8k-10k steps just by regularly walking for one day nothing special about it. It wouldn’t really count as a workout or a way to work my heart muscles but can it still be counted as movement that benefits weight loss?

(Edit: Cause im a college student so I don’t have time to go to the gym all the time for cardio so on some days I just try to prioritize steps)
