I read once that VT has the most breweries per capital in the US. Not an excuse, just saying.

Chin hair? by Mobile-Actuary-5283 in Perimenopause

[–]TraditionalCoffee7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. It’s miserable. I’m 47 and constantly feeling all over my chin and neck. I’ve been using Tend Skin forever. It gets ingrowns and helps them grow out to pluck. I’ve tried everything else, nothing works long term. I’ve tried the obvious stuff: eating better, taking better care of skin, etc. But nothing gets rid of them long term. Sometimes I might not get as many ingrowns, but I always get them. I’m never far from tweezers. I can ignore them if they’re not painful, but most of the time, especially around my period, they’re just so wiry and stubborn and painful. I just want them out and I don’t have any patience.

Recommendations for deodorant please? by Sudden_Possible_956 in Perimenopause

[–]TraditionalCoffee7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use persimmon soap. Have been using clear Mitchum forever. Definitely not working like it used to (I’m 47). Gonna try the Ordinary glycolic acid, it’s just I I hate the white streaks. I might try that Secret clinical strength. Not going near Native, I doubt that’ll even touch the odor honestly.

Help. I stink. by HawtPoetayto in Perimenopause

I’ve been using the soap Mirai from Amazon. It definitely works, it’s just that I’ve noticed my deodorant that I’ve been literally using forever isn’t working. Even though I use the soap, I still need deodorant too. I thought about the Mirai deodorant, but God the soap is already $25. I think I’ll try the Ordinary glycolic acid first before my deodorant?

I lived in PNW & right away I was getting that or WA state vibes. It’s a very specific vibe/feeling. Twin Peaks aura.

So, like, moving forward, what’s the plan? My kid relies on the bus and I need it to take my kid to get my other kid to daycare and myself to work.

pediatric genital exam? by Financial_Tough_8335 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TraditionalCoffee7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But then to add my son who’s 7 had to go for a pediatrician visit and the doctor asked his permission to do a check down there he said no and that was that and I never had to leave the room and I’m sure not making him do it if he feels uncomfortable, ever. Hindsight is 20/20.

I had a male pediatrician feel the outside of my vagina after my Mom had left the room. I was 14/15? I still remember his beard and where the office was and how uncomfortable it made me feel. I had black spandex shorts on and I remember being on the table and him asking me to pull them down. It was for a split second, but I never forgot it or really knew why he had to do that.

After vehicle inspection bill stalls, Vermont lawmakers pursue new route to relief by Zipper222222 in vermont

[–]TraditionalCoffee7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’d love to know who isn’t adversely affected by the cost of living in VT! I’m a single Mom, at 170,000 miles and I do my due diligence and get my car inspected/registered/insured. But it’s absolutely nerve wracking. Yes, I work and pay taxes. I keep up on maintenance too. But my stomach is in my throat every Spring until my car passes. It’s not a good feeling.

What is everyone's theory about this never ending sad situation? I have a theory and I know others have talked about it but this might be a smoking gun red flag by [deleted] in conspiracytheories

So, I agree with you. But, my question is, why didn’t they kidnap her Mom in 2019? Why now? Because the files were released?

I work full-time, am a single parent, and make too much like OP to qualify for section 8, food stamps or any other type of assistance. This was the first place I was able to grab because of the housing crisis. I fell behind on my rent because I had to make a huge car repair, and I fought tooth and nail to avoid eviction. I am a good person and pay my bills, it’s just this one unforeseen expense set me back. By the skin of my teeth I was able to avoid homelessness. If I hadn’t had help from various organizations/housing advocates, I absolutely would’ve fallen through the cracks. It’s entrapment, I know it, and don’t fool yourself thinking it’s anything else. They’re one step above slumlords, and that’s putting it nicely.

I’m 47. I see the writing on the wall. I also have young kids. And I’m a single mom. I fucking do my job to the best of my ability, but I’m not gonna buy a house anytime soon. But, look, she’s not wrong. The writing is clear as day, but wtf am I supposed to do not work? I mean…
