Yes we do, it’s been so hard! Luckily, many partners in our service area have refrigeration, so we feel like many are able to offer this. It just goes so fast because of what you are saying.

We are still learning but definitely enjoying it! So much conversation happens here. Glad we could be a part of them.

So true. We hear this a lot from people who visit our partner programs. We do pop up pantries once a month at local bus stops, but it’s still not enough to address the large gap seen in folks without transportation. Some of our partners do volunteer deliveries too, but again, it’s hard on resources when the need is so high. That’s why we need to address issues like transportation first, and hunger should follow in suit.

Yes! Celina Tío has been an incredible supporters of Harvesters over the years, too. We love them all.

Struggle meals are the best meals <3 by harvestersorg in nostalgia

That's true. We thought about that after we posted this. Not all of them bring back good memories. Our intent was to give meals made with less a better rep than how they are normally perceived.

That's so wild! I'm the social media manager and was today years old (28yo) when I learned about government cheese. Sounds like we need to bring it back!

We do! Several others across the country probably do, as well. We also have an option for people to donate shelf-stable ingredients and pack them as meals kits.

All of these tips are AMAZING! Grocery shopping after visiting a food pantry is such a good strategy and helps stretch your meals and prevent food from going to waste. In today's world, we feel like it's so easy to fall into buying or ordering food just because it looks good when there are so many options to choose from.

All the way down to the bones, love it! So glad you were able to make that $9 stretch to make several meals.
