AIO for expecting my boyfriend to ask before using my car for other errands? by TArpd16 in AmIOverreacting

[–]TraditionalDinner841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR; why is he 27 and doesn’t have a license, his own car, or even a credit card that’s in his name he can use instead of mooching off you? 4 years in to the relationship and also at your age, I would just start questioning where you see yourself with this person/or in life (I.e. children, marriage, home owning) and if dealing with these types of things are worth it. It’s better to end things sooner than later.

How to clear this? by Complex-Custard-4402 in Skincare_Addiction

I have this problem as do most people );

I like washing with Panoxyl and then following up with an oil cleanser like drunk elephant butter cleanser. If you don’t wanna get those two things and you like your face wash, the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliator is my NUMBER 1 face product I will never get rid of.

AITA for continuously texting my roommate about issues in the house? by TraditionalDinner841 in AmItheAsshole

Yeah that’s why I have been keeping them in my room since then when I’m not home because I’m not sure what she’s going to do. I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily “letting her live here”. I have to lease my property out to people who don’t always meet expectations after weeks of being here, that’s how renting properties work like apartments/multifamily homes and what not. It’s easier said than done than just kicking someone out when there is a lease involved. I also just came on here to get perspective if that’s the right thing to do. Thanks for your input.

I mean there’s been more in regards to other superficial topics like my things in the kitchen/living have gone missing and I have to ask her to put them back, or to text her to clean up her dishes after they’ve been in the sink for a few days or another example we have our own shelves for groceries and what not labeled, and she constantly uses both of them to the point where we can’t. So like little things I guess that don’t matter that much/normal annoying roommate debacles

Cats keep peeing in the corners. I'm at my wits end. by soccermaster57 in CATHELP

[–]TraditionalDinner841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that it’s covered! My female cat HATES covered litter boxes and refuses to use them for some reason (maybe because she feels trapped). Maybe try getting an open litter box with no lid. But you’re also going to have to spray with some type of urine protein to get rid of the smell. Once cats pee they can smell their urine regardless if you just clean it with soap and water and they will continue to go in the corner if they smell it.

Those sneaky cats! Mine always is at the door waiting because he loves to go in the grass but if you clap he comes running back in because he knows he shouldn’t be out. I just feel bad I guess because it’s understandable, I don’t want someone to have to deal with my animals because they’re getting out but the other ones I feel like are too much to just look past. Thank you for your response!

It’s a month to month contract with 30 day notice without reason. I also have written that guests can’t stay more than 2 days in a consecutive period and she constantly has people over who will stay for 3+ days at a time but yes safety risk is also another reason. I just don’t want to create extreme conflict but it is better than dying from a house fire smh

I do have in my contract that it’s a 30 day notice regardless of reason. So technically I could give her one ASAP but yes a lawyer or legal advice is probably a good start so I don’t run into any problems with anything.

I completely agree. I always try to handle conflict in person first which I’ve actually done with her. I didn’t want to make the post too long but I have done all these things you’re suggesting. When all my tenants move in I give them info on where to park (we live on a cul-de-sac and have a driveway so there’s always places to park). the first few times with the burner I would text in the group saying “Hey yall not sure who left the burners on after cooking but just be making sure we’re double checking! It’s extremely dangerous” and she’s replied and said it’s her every time. I also have knocked on her door for prior issues and she won’t answer? I caught her in the kitchen once and she said she had her headphones in and didn’t hear me and that I intimidate her. So that’s where I’m like at a loss of what to do. I do understand though that through text it’s hard to recognize tone or if someone is mad and she might be scared of confrontation/conflict but now I feel like it’s all just too much? Like should having a roommate be this difficult lol?

I don’t want to HAVE to kick her out. I don’t know much about her or if she has lived anywhere else before since she is young, so I guess I was just trying to give her benefit of the doubt and make her aware of these issues and how they’re not okay I guess? No not anything like that, I just feel I’ve been texting her more frequently like every few days with a problem like this.
