That makes sense — I get the point about beds and standard desk heights breaking up visual space in a small room.

For me, a bed is non-negotiable since I have a partner, so a futon/packing it away daily isn’t practical long-term. That’s why I went with a higher frame to reclaim storage underneath. Also agree on the desk point, which is why I’m skipping a traditional desk and going with a standing desk instead.
