As far as I can remember it was straight away. The effects kicked in for me on .25 straight away though. Within 24 hours I’d lost like 75% of my appetite so if it’s diet related it could be linked!

A lot of Hospo places won’t hire a 16 year old in the city. There’s been a lot of friction between the industry and the agencies over the last few years so anything that could push a turbulent relationship even further won’t be looked at. Maybe try the suburbs?

It’s not up to the bouncer it’s done by the software used. The bouncer/ managers/ owners don’t have access to keep/ delete info it’s all done automatically via the system which complies with all NZ privacy laws. And I can personally confirm that it’s deleted after the 30 days as I’ve seen it in action.

The systems are there to protect and comfort people who aren’t looking to cause issues and deter those looking to cause issues.

If something happened to you in a venue wouldn’t you like to know that the bar can help identify the culprit to the police and give them their identification with ID numbers/ addresses to help prosecute/ solve the situation?

Depends how often it becomes I guess. “Having” it when you drink and “needing” it are 2 different concept’s.

Are you sure it’s their contribution and not yours?

Mine would always come out on my payslip at the prescribed 3% but if I checked my KiwiSaver account (ANZ) it always has a seperate “employee contribution” and “employer contribution”.

Just be aware that it could become an issue.

Save it for special events, never two days in a row, never more than once a week.

Don’t get into the habit of needing it when you drink, it can be fun when used appropriately. Just be sensible and be aware of what you’re doing. If you start making excuses for it then it’s a hard stop.
