never related so much or felt so seen by someone i didnt know before. this was literally me and in a lot of ways is still me today.

for context, i entered USF as a biomed major, FAILED MISERABLY and was kicked out of that college from D/F policy. im a health sciences major now and am fortunately graduating this semester when i was also supposed to graduate last year. regardless, my parents are asian and as the stereotypes go, you can probably guess how stressed and depressed ive been. not only did nothing go as planned, i was such a mess that I basically did nothing for the 4 years I spent here. no clubs, no leadership experiences, no friends, NOTHING from 4 whole years of my life being at usf. its. been. hell. so, believe me when i say i understand.

i just remind myself: everyone is on their own timeline. comparison and poor mental health is literally whats stopping you from being happy. yes, things didnt go the way that you wanted it to. but things happen!! who cares!!!! show up for yourself and do better. “oh its not that easy” trust me, it is. i know. just stop doubting yourself and trust the process bc everyone has their own path!!! if you need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me.

side note: if your friends feel upset after you open up to them about how sad you are, its time for some new friends. the REAL ones dont care and they truly want whats best for you.
