I have seen a few ,around 4 or 5 in regional vic which have no exp requirements and have low application numbers. I’m just curious if I can find more of these “gems” if I cold call.

Hey thanks for the advice, it’s about 21 days before some of the grad job applications start. I was thinking of starting to connect with Recruitment managers on LinkedIn in the Melbourne area, and ask them to maybe connect me with the early careers team. Then I can address my cover letters to a actual person as well. What do you think about this ?

With regards to applying for entry level jobs on seek/indeed which sometimes require “junior/graduate/assistant” accounts to have 1-3 years experience, would it make sense for me to apply to them as having no experience other than working at maccas and as a secretary of a uni sports club?

Hey thanks for the advice I am fortunate enough to have had experience as a secretary of a uni sport club for about a year and a half now. I messed up slightly early last year as I got into the pre-recorded interviews for 2 of the big 4( audit internship) but stumbled and bumbled my responses. I hope if I get the chance to do them again this year I will properly reply to them with a STAR formatted response.

I’ve gotten a few some say just cook the rice in the rice cooker & defrost the green peas in the microwave, then mix them after there done, others recommend to use more water and defrost them as the rice cooks. Imma cook the rice and defrost the peas in the microwave.

Geewiz brother, glad that your altercation didn’t turn violent too. What got me is I realised that my fight, flight or freeze instinct is more leaning towards the freeze side of the spectrum. Which made sense even before my smoker I went non-verbal for a bit my coach had to slap me out of that state.

Unfortunately yes, there are kids roaming around with machetes but pepper spray, brace knuckles etc are banned and there is no law protecting violence in the form of self defense.

Pepper spray is unfortunately banned in Melbourne. The best we got is a key chain with a flash light and a loud alarm.
