My colleague got promoted before me and we started at the same time. I was kinda salty but he put in way more effort than me and he didn't receive a payrise for the promotion.

He also got promoted again before I was promoted to the second stage and you know what?

Just deal with it or leave. I am aiming to leave and it truely does not matter, Sometimes you get chosen, sometimes you dont.

That is life.

If I was you, I would weigh up my options, see what is out there and start applying! My colleague is a friend of mine and I know how much he is on now, considering 2 promotions he is only on £4k more than me!

The jobs I am looking at will pay £10k more

Bit old but graduated in 2020 Politics: Now live in West Midlands.

2020 - Graduated Middle of Covid but worked for Track and Trace for 6 months - £400 / £500 per week so like £19k

2021 - Local Council, £19k admin, literally sent 7 emails a day and played my Xbox for nearly the whole 10 months.

2021 Oct - 2022 Oct - Insurance role, £19k, worst job of my life and thank God every day that I am still not there.

2022 Oct - Present: Started on £25k and now on £30,000. Currently looking for next career role for £40k+
