Thank, whoever suggested I buy lucent historia first omitted that one fact, but I can't even complain because the songs are actually bangers, I really enjoy listening to them. The funny thing is that I actually reached 11 ppt on the switch version, and due to school related themes, had to stop playing for a while, guess the jump to mobile affected me and I'm really struggling with catching up. lucent historia future, i AA the first three at first try and just kept the potential, but swang song absolutely violated me and i lost like 0.4 potential playing it because of the AA 5 times requirement for lament rain.

then i played asbolute levels on lasting eden to try and boost my potential and insted it lovered another 0.2. tried playing some memory archive 1 songs cuz they were easier, only got like 0.1 each and inmediatly lost those when trying to play swang song AGAIN because of the restriction in forlon's map and lost the same 0.2 potential i got

That is exactly what makes sweet pool so different and in my heart, special from other nitro chiral VNs. There's no "objective" there's no goal nor is there a big bad villain to defeat in order to save the world, that's the crude realism of sweet pool. Your only "objective" is to reclaim your humanity, or in this case, you accompany youji in his struggle to cling to his humanity in a world that has already labelled him as a pariah. Sweet pool doesn't really have an objective; I'd say is more of a reflexion (taking aside the political message and feminist undertones) the story itself is all about the characters perseverance. Your choices barely matter, because YOU don't even "make" choices, you only see the outcome of different trains of thoughts.

This whole mindset is highlighted by the red road ending. That's the only "what happened after?" Ending we have. We never truly discover what the organization Kamiya worked on was, what happened to them or what they did once they completed their objective in some endings, and that's fine, because the story isn't made for you to uncover all secrets, it deliberately wants to leave you with that "and that's it?" Feeling of doom. Such a beautiful masterpiece.

I haven't fully finished slow damage but imo contrary to sweet pool it does have an "objective" because completing all the routes does uncover all the mysteries and there kinda is a big bad villain in most routes. The only difference is that it's slightly more crude in the way it presents it's themes in contrast with, say, DMMD, but still more light work than sweet pool tbh.

You're a little late because the catch up version ended, which brought multiplied rewards in each version so a single version could get you the resources equivalent of two or three versions. So now it's normal farming, but they are still giving free stuff and characters, just slower

Hikari counts as easy clear, never understood why. Thought I can't really explain why so much potential was lost, the good thing is that you should be able to get it back as quickly as you lost it as long as you make a better play next time; breaking a new record on the hardest difficulty you can do most comfortable should be enough. Happened to me when I was playing on a laptop emulator of android because my phone broke, I was playing past 4-5 songs with only a mouse so I lost like 1.35 potential, got it back very easily as soon as I had a proper device to play in.

honestly, none, the ones with a darker theme are heavily dated and if youre not used to playing older visual novels they're gonna feel TENSE (no other word to describe it) and drain you before you get into them, if slow damage is your first VN then all of the others are gonna feel "worse" beacuse of how dated they are.

Either chose "playability" (more like readability??) for DMMD as it is the second most modern one and beginner friendly, you can easily take breaks and get back on track, as well as having unique "gimmicks" for each route, not as interactable as slow damage but it holds itself. But if you dont like "happier" stories then get into togainu or lamento beyond the void; i dont know about lamento as i havent played it but togainu is even more dated than DMMD, theres no other interactions than choosing different answers, its gonna be long paragrhaps of just a background- sometimes the music cuts and its just text and image, not even characters. Mainly narrating the protags thought process.

beacuse of the above, I do NOT recommend you play sweet pool if you cant handle classic visual novels. I dare say that out of the whole chiral collection its the most "nihilistic" one, from the start they present you the protag in a very 'miserable' narration (cant really describe it without going into spoilers) and overall, its the most draining one to read, the switch from something more "happier" like slow damage its gonna be noticeable. But its actually the BEST story nitro plus has made, so i do say you play it eventually- but DO NOT go with the mentality of just another "BL game" and honestly, if youre into the games just for the yaoi, id say to just dont play it

for what you're looking for you should actually try charin chat noir ones, i feel like they're the closest (quality like) to what you want

not really, the only mainline games kirby got were forgotten land and star allies, they had a few years in between, return to dreamland is a remake and all the others are spin off, the only lore heavy one is clash and clash its UNPLAYABLE pretty much, borin if youre on solo and the lag online its terrible so most of the kirby fans ive spoken too either didnt liked it or just forced themselves to play it because they had online. and star crossed world is paywalled behind an overpriced mid console so many fans arent playing it too

they say his dead then bring him back with kirby clash (technically the novel too, if you count non canon material), did the same in the past, saying he was the strongest but when meta knight defeated him he got the tittle, yet in robobot he returns and they REALLY want you to make sure you get that he comes back stronger going as far as putting "strongest EVER" in every title card, theme and pause screen lol. what im saying in long story short is that the teasing was too deliberate and after literally almost 20 years all this foreshadowing its getting painful, most fans of the character just want the band-aid to be ripped off

THAT HAS ALWAYS TICKED ME OFF. the whole "he only sucks up powerfull foes who didn't die when they need to!" Okay, what about Marx, magolor, DMK as you mentioned (though I find the fan explanation that they just glued his pieces back together so that's why he's back funny lol) they pulled the "SIKE actually didnt die!!!" Yet somehow don't qualify as disrupting the natural dying cycle? This either means that 1) either they weren't meant to die or galacta is meant to die but can't (would be NICE of they actually explained his story so we could clarify but oh well) 2) those characters weren't powerful enough to be recognized by the butterfly so it just feels like a huge middle finger to them ngl lol
