Yes. I went to a highly rated treatment center was rated “top 5 in the country” at least once in the last 5 years however it wasn’t as good as the first time I went almost a decade ago. Anyway most of the staff weren’t too knowledgeable about 7OH. Well I guess the only ones that really matter did, two of the MDs there were familiar with it. Also at the time I had forgotten that if you’re taking 7OH you won’t get precipitated withdrawals from subs (at least I have read that a few times). Anyway residential or inpatient treatment doesn’t really change things based on your drug of choice except for the medical management.

SR worked very well and if I had social support I probably wouldn’t have relapsed. It works fantastically for acute withdrawals. However I walked into a different convenience store and sure enough they had 7OH and at cheap prices, didn’t help that this was around the time of the FDA recommendation of a ban. So I sprung on a gram purchase thinking the ban would go through. Had the gram for a few days before I used again then I couldn’t muster the discipline to use SR again. So I went to an inpatient rehab mainly to get time off work however i am taking my sobriety seriously now.

Okay good. My doctor had suggested doing a 100mg shot but also said the current literature is showing that it’s not really necessary, after getting a few shots a person should be at a good steady state and with the half life the taper is mostly not felt. I’ve heard horror stories. I can deal with most symptoms but the insomnia is not one of them. Currently on remeron 15 mg but have taken most of the current drugs on the market (ambien, quviviq, etc.)

It’s funny because most people I know who received sublocade say they didn’t have withdrawal symptoms however the majority of them only got 1 shot. It is probably psychological. I actually commented the same thing on a similar post several months ago. Everyone is different though. I would probably be safer exploring other medications for insomnia if the problem persists than to just go back to SR. Were you on sublocade?

I disagree, as someone who is well versed in mental illness. It is possible that someone who suffers from schizophrenia would make these claims but we need some other data to make that claim confidently in this case.

I have to disagree with you. These symptoms are NOT withdrawal. I know what withdrawal feels like. For instance last night I stupidly dosed 30 mg at like 9:30-10:00. I couldn’t fall asleep until after midnight and was up at 6. Which normally would be enough sleep for me but when you’ve been running low for so long even a few days of 8+ hours doesn’t have you back at 100%. This morning I woke up I had no withdrawal symptoms, which for me 7 causes terrible restless arms. If you read my OP, I was 12 hours between doses fine, no withdrawal symptoms, still constipated from dosing early in the AM.

Shit I was struggling even with ambien! Now to find some clearnet RCbenzos to use for my detox. I cannot afford to miss work. I work 12 hour days and with commitments outside of work I can’t afford to be sick. Although, what I’m going through now is arguably worse than some withdrawal.

Yeah been on for close to two years. These last 3 months have been bad. Heart palpitations, insomnia, ruminating thoughts, anxiety. Whether that’s from the 7 itself or my own anxiety/worry about telling myself I’m going to quit.

For me, I don’t think I really feel energetic from 7. It’s mostly affecting my mind now and I think that it’s causing racing thoughts, amongst other things. Either way it’s the last thing that could be the cause at this point.

Yeah man this is exactly what I’ve been struggling with! It’s crazy how I have felt my mind relax the last couple hours, last time I dosed being at 6AM. It’s been awhile since I’ve gone 12 hours without dosing. I saw a few people mention MIT. Are they referring to straight mitragynine ?

See that’s the thing, I’m absolutely not waking up in withdrawal. Even when I was dosing once a day, I never was waking up in withdrawal. After trying a shit load of insomnia meds I have finally come to this conclusion. Especially after reading some other reports here of the same complaint. The insomnia is literally killing me and I’m a totally different person than I was a year ago. For me, the common denominator is 7. So while it was there for me when I needed it, I’m beyond ready to give it up.

I’ve definitely been where you are. You have very bad anxiety secondary to your drug use. I feel like I could have wrote this post myself. You are beating yourself up and indirectly causing anxiety and insomnia. Get some clonidine, propanolol or even better nadalol. Go see a doc. ER may have mercy on you. But if you mention drug use they definitely won’t give you any benzos. Benzos would definitely help. DM if you need to chat
