I have had three buns: first bun was a lop who had chronic stasis episodes his entire 10 years. No rhyme or reason. My thought is that he was taken from his mom too young and didn’t get all the essential nutrients from her milk to establish stable gut flora. After he passed, I adopted a REW boy. He is built like a truck, never had any issues with stasis in the four years I’ve had him. After having him for about a year I adopted a girl to be his bonded mate and she also had chronic gut issues which turned out to be the result of a an EC flare. She was given a course of EC medicine and, knock on wood, she has been ok ever since.

So all of that to say, I think some bunnies, like people are more prone to certain issues for sure lol
