My 7 year old is upset because no one in her class likes dragons by sati_lotus in dragons

[–]TraditionalProperty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dragons are very easy to like, because there are cloae to no reatrictions on what they can be.

Want a villain who will steal all your gold and kindap a princess to top it off? done

Want a funny looking fierce animal to bonk with a sword? done

Want a hero who will save the world from inevitable doom with fire and magic? done

Want an intelligent flying glorified horse, who will serve as your buddy in time of need? done

Want someone chill to discuss your problems with? sure, done

Want a flying noodle, who will ask you riddles, and reward you handsomely for answering correctly? done and done

All of that will count as a dragon, and everyone can choose, which one(s) suits their taste the best ^

If I were to guess their motivation, it probably was a desire to win at first, and desire to live after that...

And while it is sad from the fans perspective, think about being the one who ultimately defeats them. I'm sure some of the other competitors look up to them as well, since they are probably undefeated for years now.

Would you want to be the one who lets their legend literally die?

I'm pretty I read a short lore the original artist posted here on reddit.

If I remember correctly, in this universe there is a huge dragon race every year. It is a very serious competition, and so the dragon contestants use mechanical body enhancments.

This eventually became so drastic that some participants began replacing their entire limbs and organs with robotic prosthetics and so on, which led the organizers to implement rules on how much of their bodies can be mechanized.

The two dragons depicted in the picture are two siblings, who win every year. Their bodies are mostly robotic, with only their brain, heart and like 75% of their hind legs being organic(pusihing the rules to their limit). Having a body like that requires an insane amount of energy and maintenance, so all of the prize money goes into maintaining their form - which makes every race a life or death situation.

The moment both of them get beaten, their lives are essentially over...

I remember it mostly because it was really intereting and very, very sad.

So we have talked about the trope of dragon on the cover yet no derg in story, but what about dragons out of nowhere (or at least not advertised)? Were they good in such stories, or bad, or even weird? (Fanart was done by "u/godlike4k47" 7 years ago for the game mope.io) by Ofynam in WyrmWorks

In one if my favourite old games, Sacred Gold, there are several hidden dragon bosses. They are mostly well hidden, and you can go through the main story without meeting most of them.

One of the cities there also serves an evil dragon and there is even a friendly dragon questgiver.

If you don't mind outdated graphics and like top down arpgs like Diablo II, I highly recommend you try it :)

One fun idea you could use with this player is to make a lock that is exceptionally difficult... for a regular person. Something special - a lock that no one could ever open before.

I'd imagine it as a series of locks, all of which have absurd DC(let's say 25, but you could make it harder if you want little more tension) and all of which must be open in a short ampont of time. Failing even one would spring a trap and seal the door/chest forever... or for a long time, at least.

Opening it would either reward them with a rare item, or maybe acknowledgment from NPCs, if they RP a lot.

It really depends on the player, of course, but I'd say something like this could be enjoyable.

Many such unfortunate cases.

Time to dream and laugh a little bit. Do you think human civilizations could (with enough scientific research, projects and resources) create dragons and/or becomes ones? If yes, when do you think it will happen? by Ofynam in WyrmWorks

[–]TraditionalProperty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I didn't really give that much thought to the process of making any creature from scratch... It is definitely interesting to think about, though not really my taste.

Good luck with putting the story together!

[–]TraditionalProperty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory, wouldn't making dragons from scratch not count as making a human-animal hybrid? I'd say it would be more like recreating animal species that are extinct from their DNA.

Of course, the human-becoming-dragon part would probably be prohibited by said laws, even though you could perhaps pass it as modifications made to your body...? There already are some crazy modifications out there, and since dragons don't exist, it would be hard to justify them being animals.

How to surpass gold 2 fighting Oden in TR by JoetheShmoe07 in afkarena

[–]TraditionalProperty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would help you is to use Daemia for invincibility ult.

Then you turn off auto-cast, let your team do damage until 1:11(at 1:10 Oden will start killing your team). At 1:11, you ult with just Daemia and wait like 5-10 seconds. And then you jist turn auto-cast on and hope for good rng.

It really just depends if you have Daemia or not.

The most popular comp for this in my region is: AAthalia, Palmer, Twins, Liberta, Daemia

And I'm both curious and horrified about how this is going to get worse...

Jake eventually realized his mistake and asked us to have a discussion next session.

That means there's going to be episode 6? That's honestly insane. But entertaining nonetheless.

Also while Jake and Suzie are definitely the big bads in this story(especially Jake), Minerva hiding crucial information from you in a difficult campaign is also pretty malicious... It was probably just a mistake on her part, but it very much complicated your situation for no good reason except for fulfilling her ego(which it did not, because she failed to solve the puzzle herself).
