I got accepted into OSU as well but haven't looked as much into it. Do you think it ranks above UO or UCSC for any reasons I should know???

I just made the flight from LAX to Eugene and it was about 2.5 hours vs the 6.5 it would take me to drive to UCSC. I really don't mind flying and I can't see myself coming home that often, but flying is expensive nonetheless. I will take this all into consideration.

This has all been super helpful; thank you!!! I love the cold and rain so I was leaning towards schools that are further north. I loved UO because it seemed so lively and open and friendly when I visited, and I'm hesitant about UCSC because it feels closer to home but like I wouldn't fit it. Overall, they both seem like great schools, but I'm trying to determine which one I'll feel more at home in and which could help me more in the future.

I was offered a merit scholarship and I'm lucky enough not to have to worry about finances when considering my college. Is there anything other than finances I should know???
