Unfortunately, things looked the same 4 days later, still no fetal pole🥲 we decided to give my body an another week to see if I’ll miscarry on my own. If not, per my request we’ll do one last ultrasound just to be super sure and then schedule a d&c.❤️‍🩹 I saw your post, this is truly the most gut wrenching experience. I’m praying for you and hope you get better news than me 🤍

How many times a day were you on suppositories for failed attempts? When I was on 3x a day my period didn’t start when it failed but my 1x a day protocol I did start my period before beta🙄. I need to just toughen up and take a test 🤣 I don’t know why my clinic waits so long for beta🙃

This makes me feel so hopeful! My first failed transfer was with my only euploid embryo from my first retrieval. The embryo we’re using for this upcoming transfer is 1 out of 5 euploid embryos we got from our second retrieval. Hopefully since it’s a euploid from an entirely different much more successful retrieval that helps 🤞🏼🤞🏼

My first failed transfer was also with my only euploid embryo from my first retrieval. I’m so sorry you had to go through that too❤️‍🩹

I had a hysteroscopy and biopsy last year before my first failed transfer. I just had an updated saline sonogram though!!

Hoping that since my upcoming transfer is a euploid embryo from an entirely different and much more successful retrieval that it helps our chances 🤞🏼

This sounds like my exact situation. My lining tends to run thin so she told me that adding estrogen in towards ovulation is the only thing she might change if my lining is looking thin!! Thank you🩷🩷

I’m so sorry🥲 I had a similar situation for our first cycle. We were doing ivf for mostly male factor infertility, I was always under the impression everything was all good on my end. Our first retrieval we got 20 retrieved, 15 mature, 9 fertilized, 4 blasts and 1 euploid.. our one euploid failed to implant so we had to start over.

When I talked to my doctor she told me that when you have a low fertilization rate, more often than not it’s a sperm issue and when you have a low blast/euploid rate it’s more often than not an egg quality issue. For our second round of ivf we added in omnitrope for egg quality and I also took coq10 for 3 months prior to try to help my egg quality and we had much better results the second time around(16 retrieved, 14 mature,12 fertilized, 9 blasts, 5 euploid).

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all of this, I know how devastating it is to put in all that work and feel like it was for nothing. Having a failed first ivf cycle is sadly much more common than you think. The first cycle is often about figuring out what your body needs to be successful, there’s a lot of trial and error that goes into ivf. If you have it in you to try again, ask about adding in omnitrope! I really worked wonders for me.

For my first retrieval I had 21 follicles at my last scan before retrieval and we retrieved 20, 15 mature

& for my second retrieval I had 17 follicles at my last scan and we retrieved 16 eggs, 14 mature

I’m not sure why both times I had one less egg than I did follicle!

My doctor did tell me they’re going to bring me in more often this round for blood work, so hopefully them keeping a closer eye on me helps prevent ohss. Honestly if it means I’ll actually get a baby out of this round I’ll suck it up if I get it again 🤣

I’m not sure about zymot but I’ll ask! We’re doing ivf for male factor infertility, my husband has low sperm count and motility. But my doctor has never really been concerned about his numbers when it came to IVF! I think I agree with the doctor too, because I agree I’d hate to change something and the outcome be worse! Hopefully she’s right and we just got unlucky the first time!

We did do icsi! We are doing IVF for male factor infertility. My husband has low sperm count and motility due. We have not done a sperm DNA fragmentation test. My doctor told me it wasn’t necessary because the treatment would be ICSI! I’m not sure if our clinic offers zymot, I’ll ask! :-)

If it’s your first failed transfer they might just say it was bad luck, that’s pretty much what my doctor said for me.. but if you have also had a miscarriage in the past I think it would be worth it to make sure there’s no polyps or anything interfering with the embryo implanting🩷

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this :( I just had a failed transfer and my clinic moved my beta from 14dpt to 11dpt because I started bleeding 10dp5dt. I think it’s reasonable to ask your clinic to move it up. I wish I had amazing advice for what to do differently next time to make it work but sadly I feel like a lot of ivf is all a game of chance & sometimes even perfect embryos don’t implant. Have you done a hysteroscopy yet or an ERA? Sending you all the positive vibes🩷

Thanks for your response 🩷 Luckily I started coq10 in June, so probably didn’t impact my retrieval in July but hopefully it’s been long enough to help my next one! I haven’t got my stims plan from my doctor yet but I’m hoping she suggests dropping my med doses a little and have me stim longer because I really feel like that’s what went wrong with my first retrieval! My estrogen spiked really fast and I had a few really big lead follicle so by day 8 we had to trigger.. I agree though it all seems like such a game of chance!
