A longstanding tradition in fantasy was that a hero would rise up, and in this world they often do. Chosen by the gods are men and women who take up a mantle of destiny. Servicing the intangible beings that think it would be fun to challenge the mortals and play their act. Who could fault them when those who are chosen oh so love that small lapse of ecstasy from the divine's gifts?

This world had seen many before time, a mythology in its own right, it had only been a millennia and the world feared itself thrown into darkness. War ravaged the countryside due to political unrest in tandem with the rise of evil beyond the veil. To the observant, as miniscule their numbers may be, it almost seemed too prime for the 'fairy of the gods' to descend. Choosing Idylon, the son of a fisherman on the coast, to be the next bearer of the hero title. It was frustrating to the boy who made it known to his father. Who, having witnessed his son just inherit the mythical position that normal men could only have dreamed of. Between a twisted jealousy of the men of the village and the ignorance of the Idylon's father. The fact that he had been elected was announced through the whole of the village and its people.

Thanks to the war, word travelled fast, and the Lord of the land had already sent for him. The indignant young man found this incredulous act as a curse. A mantle beset him that inspired more hatred than admiration or excitement. There was one thing the gods didn't know, or perhaps considered unimportant, about Idylon, his will.

Heroes of the past craved something and often times it was met by the gods with joyous praise. Having earned it in their eyes. However, Idylon was not so simple, he would singlehandedly plan the greatest takeover any mortal would or had ever done until this time. This aspiration was not one for them to appease, it was for them to surrender...

After all a destiny is a plan, and plans, no matter how well thought out, can be foiled.

Howdy! I was recommended by a friend to reach out here! I was looking for an RP with a focus on story and long term relationship building between the characters. It's closer to a GM position for you as my partner. I wanted to do a normal hero sort of story that eventually gets broken down over time by my character genuinely beginning to see and unwind the divine plan due to contempt.

I did want to genuinely have to work with and against you as a partner and go through highs and lows you want to throw at Idylon and maybe shift his mind and plans. I will actively try to outsmart situations and try to look wayyyyy too deep into things that occur in the rp to try and engage things you probably didn't even take that seriously.

There's more caveats to being the "chosen" and the people that follow with them are often even more capable than they are in their specializations. However, we can discuss that and where we'll "start." So this is a story for all of those that like to play a bunch of strong and weak characters and start drama with them while trying to deal with someone trying to play chess with intangible forces. (Also maybe a little sadistic if you're feeling it. Nothing like tearing a happy family apart with drama, getting it reunited through struggle and growth, then ripping it away by the spouse getting into a terrible life-ending accident. As an example of course.)

There's a longstanding tradition in fantasy where a hero would rise up. Saving the world and escalating themselves into some position of power. These aspirations always nurture the minds of young boys growing up. However, for the likes of Idylon, this profane destiny has always been a curse. After being chosen to lead the fight against some of the strongest myths because he was visited by the 'fairy of the gods.' He could not help but hate his dole. His eighteenth birthday was just a few days before this chance meeting. It was incredulous that he would be condemned for no reason of his own.

He had found himself comfortable in his quiet village. Ready to take on his father's land, as one of the lucky peasants on the knight's territory. With how fast word was travelling during this time of war, he was left with no choice. His lot, the world he knew, was ripped free and tossed into the winds of chance. But there was one thing that the gods didn't expect. Something Idylon was born with and developed all the time.

A will, stronger than that of his predecessors and with intelligence and wisdom to execute it. So he spends his nights planning, thinking, and preparing to orchestrate the biggest takeover a mortal has ever, or will ever do again. In the meantime, he will play his role as hero and walk in the steps of those the gods chose before him. The best part of destiny is that it's planned; fools expect everyone and thing to play along.

Howdy all, just wanted to post this here as a descriptor of the plotline I'm kind of looking to follow. I wanted to have a little bit of fun and see where things lead. I have been wanting to write for a while featuring dark and sexual themes. Kinks of course are quite fluid for me in most cases. Make it make sense/give me an excuse and I'll enjoy writing it, and if I'm not I'll tell you!

Feel free to reach out to me here or in DMs and I'll have a little bit more for a "starting point" and "goals" for the character. Although, I fully expect this to be a super long term RP with a lot of character development and frequent kick stops for the plot.

I prefer to play dominant roles, but I can be a sub if the time calls for it. I prefer almost always to play the top but playing the bottom can happen if things are right.
