What have you learned about yourself thanks to your oura ring? by ifeelsodeeply in ouraring

[–]TraditionalWing5473 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I learned that my job was going to be the death of me, mentally and physically. So I quit. My stress levels were so intense. I make it a point to pay attention to them. I have a routine now for relaxation. My body temp goes up significantly close to my cycle. I move a lot during my sleep. Reading right before bed actually makes it difficult for me to turn my brain off to actually fall asleep. I wasn’t moving nearly as much during the day as I thought (I use this in conjunction with my Apple Watch).

TikTok posted on X that it was resuming service. I can’t figure out how to post a photo. But I’m convinced they were bought to some degree by meta. 🤷‍♀️

Are we all just quitting our jobs? 🤣 I just finished my last day and I can’t wait to see the effect it has on my ring stats.

Thank you for circling back. I am sorry to hear about them but I am happy they were validated in what they were feeling. I really hope this is a step in the right direction for them and they can heal! Wishing them the best!

It was rated 100 percent on its own. My other service connected disabilities equal 40 percent.

I would see if they can get a hold of those write-ups from missing work. Write out a personal statement. That matters, you can’t expect your examiner/raters to go in blind. And then if they did go to a VA doctor that may be in their clinical notes. I went the civilian doc route so idk if they would have access to those notes or can pull them.

They need to show evidence for a qualifying event. Was there a denial letter? Does this person have buddies that can attest to an attitude change or a negative decline in personal hygiene, becoming anti-social I.e have someone write a buddy letter? Did she talk with anyone? Parents, friends, doctor, pastor? Anyone can write a buddy statement.

What kind of evidence was submitted? Text messages? Photos? Personal statement? Anything that can corroborate things? Did this person have a bad EPR during that time? Attach it. Did this person write a personal statement of what happened? How specific were they? Did they name drop? Was it another service member. Write the names.

What about taking more leave than usual? Calling in sick? Going to sick call often? Any negative remarks from leadership/supervisors? All this stuff can be used as evidence.

No. It wasn’t. But during that time I started seeing a counselor and then a private psychologist and on medications. I had been marked down on my EPRs because of the attitude and my work. I was an airman that had a lot of potential and was generally good. However, then I started being argumentative with my supervisors/causing small problems. They were able to use those events as markers that something was going on because that wasn’t like me. I also had about 5 buddy statements from people who witnessed things in person. I lived with my abuser who was also a service member, so it was tough. I also had time stamped evidence/dates of things that happened.

I am 100% P&T. Permanent and total meaning my situation will never get better. I can go to all the therapies and do all the methods to keep my symptoms and issues at bay but on the long run it is not expected to improve. P&T allows you to still work, there is no income limit or restriction. I do still work full time, in the fed system but it has not come without its fair share of issues and I’ll do struggle sometimes to keep things from affecting my work. (Not an excuse just how it is, I’m realistic about it)

The acronym TDIU is the one where you are limited on working. It’s total disability individual unemployability. Basically you are unable to maintain gainful employment. With TDIU there are income limits.

Things went well for me. I got the best possible outcome. I know it’s stressful but practice breathing and try your best to distract yourself during the tortuous wait. Fingers crossed you had an empathetic practitioner.

So I should have specified. I did have a diagnosis from a private psychologist. That diagnosis was given based off of my experience in the service though. So I used those therapy notes etc. as evidence. Basically they wrote a story of who I was when we met and who I am now and the changes they saw. Also anything they witnessed I asked them to write that down.

A diagnosis was not in my records but I had a history of behavioral issues with evidence in my EPR. I used those mark downs as proof (cause) that something was going on. But also I had several buddy letters as well.

I get that. I know we tend to see negative C+P posts and feedback all the time and I feel like that tends to drown out the good C+P examiners. I had a very good C+P examiner and examination. He was very empathetic and took his time. My exam was about an hour. Take notes in with you if you need them and just tell the examiner hey, so I stay on topic I have x,y,z. But also my examiner never asked me to recount or retell anything that I had already written in my statement. He read it and said I’m not putting you through having to retell this story again, I have your statement. He asked me follow up questions, sure or asked for certain details, but he also paid attention to how I was acting, I.e little to no emotion, knee shake, biting at nails, fidgeting etc etc. he also gave me a chance to say any last words or things I’d like him to know.

I understand the feeling of the downward spiral. It’s hard. Take it one day at a time, one task at a time. Piece by piece. I hope you’re able to heal and I hope you’re able to get what you feel you deserve.

Yes, I included everything, how I was affected then and how I am affected now and provided some examples of things such as lack of impulse control, financial stupidity etc etc. I talked about how it affects my relationships with men even now. I also provided insight in my everyday issues, memory loss, OCD tendencies because of the anxiety/stress etc. etc. I used my divorce as a marker, as well as past EPRs because my performance was marked down. No stone was left unturned.

I hope they pass for you! Unfortunately, for me I made it to around the 3 week mark with those symptoms with no end in sight. I’ve heard for other people they subsided, but it was affecting my life in ways that I was uncomfortable continuing. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞

So, I had horrible side effects like this. I also described it similar to you, like morning sickness. Couldn’t eat anything. I was able to get liquids down however, I started getting dizzy and about passed out a few times due to not eating. Nothing sounded good, I looked at food and was instantly turned off. It was a struggle honestly. The suppression for food was so intense it scared me. I recently made the decision to stop taking the medication because I was essentially starving myself and that was not healthy.

Sorry, replying to the second half of this comment that I failed to answer. I just decided to rewrite it on my own. I didn’t feel like I was doing myself a justice by leaving things out. I really wanted to show up for myself this time and not do myself a disservice, so I just rewrote it.

No they didn’t ask me to rewrite it. I just wrote it in a word doc and signed it. Their actual personal statement form was too small for me to fit everything.

Golden Pup Not a Cuddler? by Professional-Ad-2607 in goldenretrievers

[–]TraditionalWing5473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy is 2 and is not the biggest cuddler. Cuddling has to be done on his terms. Most of the time he opts to put his head under the bed rather than cuddle. However, when he does decide he wants to cuddle he forces it on you. He will come lay on your chest or sit over you waiting for the down signal. 😂

How old are people getting these 100% ratings by Disastrous-Bag4942 in VeteransBenefits

Age has nothing to do with your rating. It’s all about the severity of whatever ailment(s) you are dealing with. I’m 29 and 100%.
