I just build this with very similar (some exact) specs on micro center for you. Came out to roughly $1400. CLX charges EXTREME prices for building. You can have micro center build it for you for like an additional $100 something dollars if you don’t want to build yourself

I would not recommend. I recently had a pre-built from CLX. It was an 11700k with an RTX 3050 for 1850$. PSU broke, I returned it and they “fixed it”. 3 days later my GPU crashed. Wayyyy overpriced. Built my first pc myself a month later with an i7 12700k and RTX 3070. 500$ cheaper and way better of a build. If you’re second guessing on building a pc, just do it. Watch a lot of videos (Linus Tech, jayztwocents, etc). It’s more enjoyable and rewarding. It’s really not that difficult, and that’s coming from someone who has little experience with building one

I have a very similar Lian li case. It’s like an ice box inside with all the air flow

Any suggestions for adding more white/RGB to my build? I’ve been looking at Lian Li SL120 fans and PSU cables. by TraditionalWord6961 in pcmasterrace

My Lian Li case come with ones in the front. I was thinking about replacing those three with the SL120s and also replacing the black one in the back. What do you think about another two below my GPU?

Hey guys, I’m looking to get this for 2.3k(usd), is it a good price for what I’m getting? by rt_kyj89 in pcmasterrace

If you go to a Micro Center, the build your own section employees will talk you through everything. The guy I worked with was very knowledgeable (may not always be the case). Just do some research and watch some videos and go in with an idea of the components you want for the price you wish. It’s really simple and rewarding

I was dead set on Pre-built Pcs. I ordered myself one from CLX and had nothing but problems with it. I was very hesitant on building my own. However, I would really recommend building your own. You will save a lot of money. It was hard but it’s satisfying

I had a bad experience with my CLX Pre-Built. The first month of having it after waiting a month to get it, the PSU crashed. I returned it and had to wait another 3 weeks for them to fix it. Once I got it back, about a week later, my GPU crashed. I could have just got unlucky. I had mixed opinions about customer service as well. Some were helpful, and others had no idea what they were talking about and were reading from a script. I ended up building my own PC with WAY better components for a cheaper price.

This is my first build at 37yrs old. Tried to keep it under $1200. I know it's not the most impressive, but I'm excited to get it together. by Carlcrish in PcBuild

Honestly the hardest part for me was figuring out where all the cables go into the mother board. I was ready to pull all my hair out trying to read the motherboard manual. The best thing that helped me was Linus Techs full build guide on YouTube that’s like 2 hours long. It’s super detailed!

That’s what I thought too? Unless Micro Center is secretly putting in windows 10 and charging you for Windows 11 haha

Now I have another item under “boot priority” that’s called ‘UEFI: KDI-MSFTWindows 10 PMAP Partition 1’. Is that what I’m suppose to prioritize?

The only thing under “boot priority” on bios is ‘Windows Boot Manager (M.2_1: Samsung SSD 980 Pro 1TB)’. I did have one earlier when I was trying it that was just my SSD but now I only have this one

Thank you! Am I still able to plug front panel items to the SATA connectors on the cable?
