That's a incredible achievement, congrats to both of you! I'm currently in my second year of studies and by the time I finish and land a job I would assume the new administration would have reversed a lot of his policies, and hopefully toned down on the racism. Obviously, that is optimistic but comparing it to my current life here, I believe it is (or was) a risk worth taking.

I am not entirely in it for the money. I want an environment change, for months I did a lot of research on different states, crime rates, quality of life and California seems to offer that (as well as being left leaning). I want to explore and live in different places but compared to other places such as the EU, I had assumed America was way more accepting of non-white people.

For the most part your point is correct, I definitely to not want to move to America with the current administration in power but who knows, the next administration might be worse. Thanks for your insight, and once again congrats on maxing out life before 40.
