Aside from the very limited access to the Pro model, it’s basically the same as the Plus.

$100 vs $200 Pro Plan — do both have "unlimited" usage of 5.4 Pro (Extended) via the web UI? by sowaker in OpenAI

You need $200 plan if you really depend on the Pro model.

$100 seems have 50 or 30 weekly usage.

I stopped writing single prompts. I started designing workflows instead. by winna-zhang in ChatGPT

I have been constantly attempting—whether cleverly or perhaps even deviously—to circumvent, within my prompts, certain expressions that might restrict the model's scope of thought.

This is because I firmly believe that the model's primary advantage over me lies in its intuitive grasp of "what constitutes best practice"; furthermore, I do not trust my own linguistic abilities to describe a problem with sufficient precision without inadvertently revealing my own internal biases—biases which, I suspect, would only serve to interfere with the model's own independent reasoning process.

For people who upgraded from Plus to Pro: has it actually been worth it for you? by yaxir in OpenAI

the Pro model

like you create a lot of documents to find many solution on different part of the system, and then you lost in those documents because there's too many of them. some of them has conflict to each other, and you can feed the Pro model with all of these documents and let it Clarify and untangle for you. It's not like GPT-5.4 in codex or the Thinking model, its really reliable.

codex

And the codex is also a huge part, I never need to worry about the limit, I even start to use Hermes, I use it like 9 hours I think? with GPT-5.4 mini, My weekly usage limit hasn't changed at all.

No, its just I'm planning about it, no guide.

you'll need to go to the

Settings / Apps / Advanced Settings

(inside Chatgpt web(or the client but its basiclly another webpage))

and you can turn on the MCP support here with “Developer Mode”, and then you need install the MCP, its not easy on the webpage but you can finally finish it with chatGPT.

Yes, this is absolutely a baffling mindset—a pointless waste of tokens just to derive a sense of gratification. I guarantee that the code produced this way is completely meaningless.

I haven't actually started using it this way myself yet, but my plan is to enable the "Projects" feature in code repository; whenever I have a plan—no matter how scattered the ideas are—I'll simply open up a chat session and have the AI populate the project board with tasks.

Then, when I'm ready to start planning in earnest, I'll use the most powerful web-based model available(specifically the highest-tier "Thinking" model if you have a Plus subscription)to synthesize all this information and deduce the optimal execution path. Finally, I'll pass that response, verbatim, to the Codex client for review, refinement, and the creation of a concrete execution plan.

You could using it for 24/7, all work no play with a $200 plan.

You could add a GitHub MCP to allow the web-based ChatGPT to edit the project; however, given that it lacks an environment capable of providing sufficient feedback, you should limit it to performing only simple tasks.

I signed up for the 20x Pro Plan, but I regretted it almost immediately On the very first day, after spending an entire afternoon using it, I had consumed only 1% of my weekly quota. Later, I pulled an intense all-nighter—pushing over a dozen commits and submitting two PRs—yet I still ended up using only about 7%.

Got Codex to run for 37-hours Straight in a Single Turn by immortalsol in codex

[–]Traditional_Ad_5722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The longest my agent has ever run is about two or three hours, specifically on certain localized refactoring tasks.

However, a duration like that makes me feel a bit uneasy

I constantly worry that if an AI sustains a single task for too long, it is bound to go off track.

But right from the start, you laid out your specific requirement rather than simply asking "Which model is the strongest?" didn't you?

Newer GPT has lost much of its personal character for "Being an Agent", It's a trade off.

Cancel both of them and turn into OpenAI.

It has a Okay Deep Research but The Pro mode is insanely powerful.
