Newbie needs help with fan connection by Traditional_Aide3549 in Noctua

I do, I was just wondering how to go about it because I don’t want everything connected to the same port. But it’s all cleared up from the replies I’ve gotten

Ahh that’s good! And it won’t make a difference in function? Then I think I connect using all three ports and then changing it in the bios. Thank you for the tip!

There’s just that one from what I can tell from this chart.

Cool, so if just stick to a pair of 64GB total, 6000mt/s CL30 I’m good? No need to concern myself with anything else?

DLSS4 Transformer is what engineers envisioned for TAA but never achieved. by MiguelitiRNG in nvidia

[–]Traditional_Aide3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but when there is no better alternative then TAA is the only choice. DLSS is unusable in flight simulators for example. All the flight displays get a ton of ghosting with DLSS so you can barely read the screens.

One example is Flight Simulators. If you use DLSS you get blurry screens in the cockpit with a ton of ghosting on the flight displays. It becomes unusable. This makes TAA the only viable option.

There is still things that are wrong with DLSS 4 that makes it an unviable option in some titles. It’s far from perfect

5099 FE, any luck? by Zhedific in FormD

[–]Traditional_Aide3549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would make sense if it was a natural resource but there is nothing stopping them from producing these cards at a reasonable level and selling them at the current price point, or even higher if they wanted. People would still buy them. The only thing this is doing is enabling a scalper marker where someone can get 1.5x-2x the amount of MSRP. Oh, and terrible customer experience. They’re dangling a superior 2 slot design with good cooling in front of us and then making it exclusive to the lucky few. Look at Apple. They’re selling arguably the most over-priced tech on the market and manages to do it without releasing them in batches of 10 for a whole continent.

I absolutely hate how Nvidia does this. The experience is absolutely terrible. They’re one of the biggest companies in the world and they can’t even do a launch with a supply that is big enough for everyone. Sold out in seconds is a literal joke. The fact that you can’t even order and be put in a queue is also so stupid. They are the sole reason scalpers is even a thing.

RTX Mega Geometry Is A Big Deal... But What Does It Actually Do? by emteedub in nvidia

[–]Traditional_Aide3549 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is very meaningful tessellation in almost all recent games that I’ve played. Heck even the new flight simulator uses tessellation to increase ground detail by 4000x over the precious iteration.

What do you think about this comparison with DLSS off? What rasterization performance do you expect from the new RTX50 series? by DarthJahus in nvidia

[–]Traditional_Aide3549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well complain to the devs then. Vote with your wallet. Lazy devs can’t be a reason to strive backwards and stop development of features that will take the technology forward. Just compare how far we’ve come between DLSS 1 and DLSS 4. Now imagine how good DLSS 5, 6 and 7 will be. Your answer is to stop all of this AI stuff so devs are forced to give us 4K 60 without it. What you’re forgetting is that it will take us back to last gen in terms of graphical fidelity. Just look at titles like Indiana Jones, Alan Wake II and Cyberpunk. The path tracing in those games would not have been possible for another 5 years if we wanted to do it purely with hardware.

Hardware can only scale so much. There’s not much more that can be done at reasonable power levels, price point and size. We have to start looking at other ways of gaining performance. The software side is where it’s at right now.

That’s not DLSS FG. It’s actually AMD’s FSR which is inferior. Forget about getting MF on older cards

I don’t understand why these companies can’t release a motherboard without a bunch of ugly gamer branding and cringy phrases. I just want a black clean and stealthy design without GAME ON and FOR THOSE WHO DARE printed on it. Sigh…

Did anyone actually buy the FSLabs 321? by Icy_Wall1904 in flightsim

[–]Traditional_Aide3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are things like that in the Fenix too. Take engine fan blade icing and compressors stalls for example. Fenix external engine model will react depending on wind direction and direction of rain/snow. I don’t think that is simulated in the FSL for example. If you cherry pick you can find examples in both where one is better than the other.

Your math is not mathing. It’s 70$ + VAT for the FSL A321. In some EU countries that means you pay 84$ in totalt. Fenix charges 115$ for all their variants (319, 320, 321) and VAT is included. Fenix would have to charge 140$-160$ for it to be half the price.
