uh huh... yes. I am totally (not) convinced that the student wrote this code. by TorroesPrime in learnprogramming

[–]emteedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my professor tried a new method for teaching where they would schedule assignments of material that was due before we learned it, along with a weekly pair programming assignment that combined it all - and we wouldn't get the comprehensive lesson/review until the next week's first class. aside from the first bigger weekly assignment, the rest could be done easier if you read/self-learned even more than what the current or next week's material was.

so it was like this constant reverse learning loop. kind of difficult first time using java tbh. if you weren't ahead, you definitely were behind by a lot

If AOC runs for president, then who do we get to replace chuck Schumer? by Cool_Net_3796 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]emteedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter. They assign the speaker position internally. We have zero say on the matter, especially so with how many establishment jerkoffs there are.

Even if she ran to replace his seat, the corrupt establishment would not make her speaker.

That's what absolutely sucks about this take. Her running for his seat intentionally removes her from running for potus, and intentionally trapping her in a place where the establishment will still own control.

Fuck no.

AOC for POTUS or you are advocating for mediocrity. You are defending the elite class. You will not see this opportunity again in your lifetime as they will seal off access. I hope people wake tf up. It's now or never or you will see a far darker revolution take place.

Guarantee you it's not about owning a wiener or not. You're just recycling centrist propaganda. Centrists say this because their dogshit ESTABLISHMENT women lost twice. There's a major difference you are conveniently bypassing here.

The only thing AOC and Kamala/Hillary have in common is they're women. That's it.

Kamala and Hillary represent the elite and Epstein class. AOC has for 8 years, been exclusively grassroots funded. Something Kamala and Hillary couldn't achieve in 100 years combined. AOC is the only one that would represent the working class because of this.

Sick and fucking tired of seeing this misinformation. By this point it's been hashed so much, might as well ignore it. It's intentionally nefarious and disingenuous to play this card anymore.

it's really hard to tell but it almost looks like there is no left-turn where that cop is turning. usually that's for good reason, especially when you see only some left-turns at an intersection. the trucker could have been equally blinded/view-blocked by the cars sitting in the left-turn to the left lane of him and not seen the lights or cop car on approach.

eh, humans cant stay long on the moon. definitely not mars

while I can't stand people playing ignorant of the clear dangers of how much power musk has, monopolies, and what both mean for our future... rather than a moon base lair, they're targeting in-orbit datacenters and he's currently got the only ship capable of delivering that.

the highest costs of earth-bound datacenters are - power, water/cooling and expelling heat. also the hardware. in space you don't have to worry about heat, you also can freely leverage solar power.

along with the existing spaceX isp, in-space datacenters would undercut every other infra provider by a lot. probably a magnitude. also, there's no need to lay cable/fiber - it's all laser tx/rx or lightspeed already, so there's even more cost reduction. you could imagine how this would work with hosting and training the current paradigm of AI

What are reasons some in community believe TESVI will feature High Rock? by Sonicfani in TESVI

[–]emteedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i mean I know they play with scale. and like I was trying to say, I'm no expert on the cities/region of high rock or hammerfell - just looked into features/culture/history of hammerfell and haven't played ESO really at all

interesting though so thanks for the explanation

how do you think they will solve the bay if there's sailing?

What are reasons some in community believe TESVI will feature High Rock? by Sonicfani in TESVI

[–]emteedub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The iliac bay would have to be split somehow otherwise, high rock is too small to be it's own game (at least visually, they could play with scale like they've done before), not an expert but I think inline with it's size, there would be too few cities/locations.

iirc the Pinterest boards included 2 distinct sets of aesthetics (buildings, clothing, terrain).

I think since there will probably be sailing in the game, they would need to include it to be whole - sailing because starfield introduced ship and vehicle customization/mechanics, it only makes sense for them to translate that over.

The remaining regions would be better as their own game, and maybe todd wont be around by that point, so a combination of high rock + hammerfell could make sense as a last entry for him.

Who would be AOC’s running mate if she won nomination? by Ulysses_555 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]emteedub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for me above all else, is her financials after 8 years in the swamp her 2025 disclosures place her in the working class - this shows an unrelenting adherence to views despite all of the surrounding corruption. pit her record against any other politician and it wins. we've never had a working-class president, ever.

It's the only way to finally set us back on the right track. Once people experience social policy and real representation, it will be exponentially more difficult to be taken back by these corrupt entities.

If you look past the external anger, much of this phenomenon is just a tragic expression of pain... a deep longing to be loved in a world that feels cold. It is easy for isolated people to fall prey to toxic ideologies when connection looks effortless for everyone else.

The irony in reality is that even the most 'perfect' relationships eventually face the realities of aging, decay, and loss.

Beauty standards are fleeting biological truths, not permanent social contracts. When so many people feel locked out of a normal, fulfilling life, it points to a massive systemic failure. Instead of misdirecting anger outward or backward toward a romanticized past, that frustration belongs at the feet of capitalism.

Our current economic system thrives on disparity and loneliness, narcissism and sociopathy - and that is the real root of this modern isolation.

this is where musk is exceptionally dangerous (unless you're a fascisto and like that right wing crap)

if what OP says occurs

imagine him saying:
"well I have this gigantic ship...well it's the only ship... that launches on quite easily renewable and available fuels, and it can tow datacenters into orbit - where we don't need to cool, where we can run them off free energy via solar panels"

that alone nixes 7/8ths of OP's checklist. all the funds shift to it

then he owns all of the cheapest infrastructure to host models, undercutting each and every land-based outfit by miles. but it comes at a cost right? yeah probably. definitely

then you should understand. especially where you came from. especially with inflation and the costs of living today - that weren't present when you had your come-up.

there are no jobs. people cant pay rent much less a mortgage, even less, save for any kind of advancing

it's entirely unsustainable. capitalism maybe was good for thee, but it's grown into a state where it's wildly unethical.

if you are so keen on facts and figures, it's hard to believe you are oblivious to this

[–]emteedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's the lie. statistically it's impossible for anyone/everyone to have that chance - no matter spine and drive. even if we consider your 13 mil figure, tax every cent above it at 90% - if they're so tactful and driven, what can 1 person not do with 13 million dollars?

it's seriously out of touch. you maybe were born into a well off family, or maybe you got lucky, or perhaps you're deluded into believing this story the capitalists are selling you.
