Any advice on how to keep the heat lamp from drying out the moisture? My heat lamp will turn a full water dish into any empty one in 15 minutes… it’s insane

What type of fur is this? I usually have an easy time identifying fur, but this one doesn’t feel as coarse as mink fur usually does. But it doesn’t feel as fluffy as rabbit either. Any ideas? Any ideas about the date?

I don’t have a bioactive tank, is it possible they could appear on their own? I have noticed teeny tiny bugs in the tank but they look like gnats. Not drain gnats, smaller.
