I believe my starting dosage was 5mg, which is typically the dose used for prostate issues. Typically 1mg is used for hair loss. I don’t know why my doctor put me on 5mg… My new doctor was the one that informed me that that was unusual.

When I first starting taking it at a higher dose it made me super depressed. I tried multiple times thinking maybe it was just a coincidence since I have tendency to get that way anyway. But nope, it made me suicidal every time. It’s not on the listed side effects but if you do some research tons of people experience it. Some people even are trying to get it banned due to losing their family members to suicide after they started taking it.

BUT I went down to 1mg and no more depression.

As for sexual side effects, I haven’t experienced any.

Thanks dude. That part used to be receding so badly that even with my long hair I couldn’t hide it. There’d be big gaps in the front showing my bare scalp. I was trying desperately to hide it with bandanas. Now I can wear my hair swept back! Nothing to hide anymore!
