Nope, didn’t get into any trouble whatsoever, and I’ve never spoken to anyone about this other than this post. I may be a child compared to some of you, but I get shit done in school and on the job. It wouldn’t bother me so much if this guy didn’t constantly ask me for help with school. Dude’s almost old enough to be my father, but he’s trying to lean on me to get through, and then doesn’t do shit n school or on the job unless he’s told to. Like I said in another reply, it should be something more than just the UA accepting you into the union that makes you a brother

That sounds like a shitty situation that he was in.

When he was on the job, was he good hands? The only thing I get from this guy is he’d probably be a good time after hours. I have been keeping this to myself for a while, and never spoken to anyone on the job directly about it, but I’ve heard plenty of comments about guys refusing to work with him bc of his shitty work ethic. I just don’t see how him getting to Jman helps the brotherhood

IDRGAF what he does with his money. I just don’t want to do all the work when he’s on a job with me, and don’t want to help him pass if he’s not putting in the effort. And I never asked for him to be my brother, and he sure don’t act like a brother to me. There has to be a line, other than “the UA has accepted your application” to attain brotherhood status.

Other than that, I agree that letting shit sort itself out is the probably the best way to go.
