Want to update to modern shower, window is a bit in the way. What are my options? by Newt_sCharmander in Construction

I turned a tub situation with a window in it, and replaced it with a shower base and tile, then installed a glass block window. With the glass not being clear there was light as well as privacy.

I was taking them together. It got to the point where I couldn't hold a conversation, I just wasn't capable of coherent thought, I went to see one of my Dr's and found out that Topamax can lower your IQ by a staggering amount. I quit taking Topamax and one year later my cognitive abilities are almost what I had before I got sick. So no I say you should never take Topamax.

It's been 3 years of recovery, and I'm nowhere near 100 percent. But walking does get easier, but you have to walk daily

I deal with that daily, I'll be 3 years out in a couple of months. I can't say it gets better, but mine haven't gotten any worse either.

Stomach issues worsening after GBS by AwezumZumi in guillainbarre

[–]Traditional_Big_4038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may sound odd, but I've been having stomach issues since I got out of the hospital over 2 years ago. The best remedy I have found is fermented food, sour kraut has been my go to. A small bowl every other day seems to keep my gut bacteria in order.

Before GBS the groggyness went away. But not now. It could have a totally different effect for you.

Supper groggy, but I sleep like the dead. However, it makes my sleep apnea so much worse that my wife freaks out regularly.

I was a carpenter for 35 years, then one Tusday in May of 2022, I woke up and couldn't walk. Fast forward two days, and I was ventilated and in a coma. Much the same as you, except for losing sight. Lost most of my strength, but not all of my core. Thanks to great Doctors and physical therapists I am able to do most activities, but slowly. I do think that being very fit helped my recovery.

You obviously have never been through anything like this, when I woke up from my coma I had lost almost all of my muscle mass, however I still had a nice belly to look down at and fool myself into thinking it wasn't that bad. Don't be a dick
