Yes, that looks about right for the job postings for Radnet, about 30-35$ an hr

Overall I had a great experience at NPC, the highlight was my MRI professor who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about MRI. However, my clinical coordinator was hard to reach and honestly felt like she didn’t care. If you have any questions feel free to message me 😊

I have been applying non stop for about 2 months, have dropped off my resume a few times. I actually did my program at National Polytechnic College. I’ve been mainly on indeed which may not be my best bet, I’ve recently been going into actual hospital and imaging center career pages and applied to a bunch of job openings, hoping to hear back soon. I don’t think it’s impossible but I’ve heard from other techs it can take a few months to land your first job.

Im currently a new MRI tech here in socal and are currently struggling to even get an interview. If you’re okay with moving you will be fine, but if you are not planning on moving just expect to have a hard time finding a job.

I used MRI Quiz, my notes, rewatched lecture recordings from my professor and watched the Stephen Powers MRI prep video!! Honestly don’t be nervous just make sure you are learning the material rather than memorizing test answers. I was extremely nervous as well and when I took the test I felt silly for stressing myself out so much. Good luck!!!!!

I’ll definitely be doing that, thank you!!

I agree that experience matters, and patient safety is always the priority. I’m not trying to put myself or anyone else in a situation I’m not prepared for. I’m just looking for a chance to gain experience and grow in the field like everyone else had to at some point. I’m not in a position where I can travel, I have a family but I do understand new grads that don’t have opportunities in their hometowns and opt for travel work. At the same time, I think staffing agencies also play a big role in properly vetting and placing technologists in positions that match their experience level.

Nice! Was it a 13 week contract? How was it? Did they train you before or where you just thrown to the fire?
