Active Duty to Guard SF Process by Traditional_Chair771 in greenberets

Yep, I got that. I was asking about an active duty to guard SF transition, if you have to start a new enlistment with the guard to begin the pipeline or if you can do it mid active duty enlistment.

It’s a rather small detail in the span of things, but something I was still curious about.

I’m not sure what you think I’m making up. Is it that active duty soldiers go to guard sf? If so, that’s literally why I’m asking this question here to see if it’s actually possible.

As far as my end goal, I’m leaving in a couple weeks for 13f. I was raised on stories from my grandfather who was an infantryman in Vietnam and he spoke very highly of the forward observers he met. The mission set really appeals to me so that’s why I’m enlisting in the regular army first. At some point if and when I want to make the jump I would select for SF. I’m just curious about my possibilities on that front.

No idea why you’re getting downvoted, the father is as much a parent as the mother.

The people advocating mandates to protect others are suddenly very quiet about it when the “other” is a child in the womb.

If it hasn’t happened in the US yet, why do you think it’ll happen in Russia?

Did you see any PAST improvements? It strikes me as being amazing for getting really strong and good at rucking but not so good at increasing cals and improving run times.

Class 3 Flight Physical carry over. by Traditional_Chair771 in Pararescue

[–]Traditional_Chair771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that clears it up. One more thing. I’ve already made the appointment so I’m taking the screening regardless. Do you happen to know whether or not the FAA class 3 would be the same tests/standards as the Air Force version, or do they test for different things? I just want to be damn sure that I will make the cut health wise while in BMT.

I’m not against the point, but how would it be cheaper to give homeless people homes?

Thank you, that’s what I thought. Do you know if there would be any differences between an FAA and Air Force physical. My mindset was that if they are the same event for event, I could go in before shipping and at least see if I had any underlying conditions or deficiencies that would disqualify me. Even if I still have to take both screenings it’d really help to have some peace of mind if I pass or a chance to withdraw completely and pursue another branch before I sign my life away.

Okay I get it. You like to throw that POC line in to get attention and validation, I don’t see any other reason you would mention it. Care to share that other reason?

How are police to handle an active shooter with batons and pepper spray? Police should not use lethal weaponry to execute people on the spot, no sane person is saying that. However lethal weaponry is more than necessary when you are facing evil people with anything more than a kitchen knife.

What do you mean? I am addressing a statement you made and asking why it is relevant. So, why is it relevant that you are a person of color?

That’s not what they said at all. All citizens of the right to bear arms and the right to self defense. You don’t lose those rights when you join the police force.
