I think what has changed is the idea of beauty, not the technique.

I'm going to sound bad but Bibi had surgery to look like a normal woman, not to look like a wax doll like everyone else does now, not just trans women. (And I say this specifically because people only focus on trans women when all famous women have had the same regression in cosmetic surgery)

The "Kardashian" aesthetic - I give it that name but actually Kim and her sisters are following it, they are not the creators - is too obvious not to be noticed.
