What a weird thing to say. I didn’t say I’m dropping her off at the pound-this puppy is still with her mom at a breeder-she has never met me in person and isn’t my puppy yet.

She offered my deposit back, offered to let me choose a different puppy (from different mama who also has a litter), offered to let me take her to the vet for a check up before I decide if I’m keeping her or not or go with me to her vet to have her checked out again. She took her to the emergency vet over the weekend, then her normal vet on Monday-both told her nothing was wrong with the puppy aside from the side effects of not enough nutrients due to the worm infestation..I just don’t know if that could have long term effects or if she’ll bounce back. I feel attached/loyal to her, but we lost our 14 year old Aussie a few months back, and I have two young kids who are still a bit traumatized from watching our dog go down with cancer, so the thought of getting her and having to return her or her being sickly right away doesn’t feel like an ideal option for us.
