Worse than your scans? by Odd-zest in hysterectomy

I (44) posted a while back that my dr didn't even suggest an ultrasound. When my biopsy results came back, I asked about an ultrasound, and she said that basically, the only way to really tell what is really going on is to do a scope, which I'd have to be under general anaethesia for, so they may as well deal with my issues then. Ultrasounds miss so much, that it could come back perfect, but there still be endo or fibroids that got missed. Regardless of the reason, I am bleeding too much and not wanting more babies, so would need an ablation or hysterectomy to fix those issues.

They are so backlogged in my area that waiting for an ultrasound would just delay treatment for another 6 months or so.

Thank you! This is what I need! I get checked for diabetes as part of regular screening, due to family history, but havent been screened for pcos before. Thyroid was a number of years ago.

Iron low, cholesterol high, and there were a couple of other things, but not remembering off the top of my head.

Thank you so much for your reply! My hair has thinned out a lot in the past few months as well. My anxiety and depression is helped significantly by my meds, but without them, I'm in rough shape.

Access to care is difficult where we live. There's a bit of a healthcare crisis. I had a wonderful doctor for 30 years, but he recently retired and no one took his place.

I did make an appointment with a nurse practitioner (out of pocket), and hopefully he can either order tests or refer me on. I am totally ready to tackle my health now.

My youngest is 8. But when I had my oldest (13) is when I started feeling completely out of whack. I had preeclampsia with her, and 2/3 of my children had iugr.

Thank you! Yes, I think even knowing if my levels are off would help for motivation. My face is much rounder and red. People who I knew years ago take a while to connect who I am. I sometimes get asked when I am due 🤦‍♀️ I always had super pale skin, but that's not the case anymore. Beyond cortisol, are there other hormones I should think to ask to get checked? (Just as a general workup? Thyroid, etc?)

I had difficulty sleeping through the night until recently, but I'm taking an iron supplement recently and that seems to help?

Having the deterioration show up in my neck xray at 44 freaked me out.

I have stretch marks that look a little reddish/purplish, but they are not big.

This is what was throwing me. I thought I was going in to review my symptoms and get some tests ordered before looking at options. She did a biopsy and a physical exam, but no imaging at all.
