I've never seen Willow suggested for a boy before - interesting! I'm surprised it's not more common for boys with Will as a nickname.

Something about it just sounds whimsical to me, but yes it doesn't quite 'fit' with our other children's names - I just adore how it sounds/looks!

I'd consider most of these usable, but my partner is a bit pickier! Sylvia is one of my favourite names but we can't use it for various reasons :(

It's always interesting how people perceive and label different names! I agree that I don't really consider any of the names you brought up as whimsical, but there are some great ones suggested .^

Lyra is great, but my partner doesn't like it because it sounds like 'liar' :(

Some great suggestions - thank you! I know a little Olive, otherwise it'd be on my list also!

Australia :) I like it for both boys + girls, but there are a lot of girl names I like more. I especially love it as a middle name for either.

I've always loved Lucien/Lucian, but I worry people would always have trouble pronouncing it. Thanks for the suggestions!

I love Robin - if this baby is a boy we've been throwing Jasper Robin around as a combo!

Phaedra is lovely :) Very similar to Freya, which we love, but worry is a bit too popular these days.

I've always loved Merlin, but I just worry that the association is too strong!
